Fought over for months and destroyed largely -  esp the former - but important staging posts.

Well I prefer to look on the positive side ynna: which is that since this war intensified so bloodily and ruthlessly in 2022 Brits and Irish have come together - notably here on AB too - to show their solidarity: the reason for that is simple: there may be many other differences amongst us but generally speaking we don't take kindly to evil being committed if not in our midst then next door. And that sort of overshadows other matters at least for a while. If there are a few lost souls then that's their business.

As for the subject of this thread (yet again) Johnson has not always been my favourite politician but he "gets" Ukraine - he "feels" it in a way not many politicians here do I'd say.

And that's why - although there's no longer any political mileage in it for him if there ever was - he continues to speak out. and to visit the country.

And if he's badgering people about that rather than the EU then as far as I'm concerned long may he continue to do so.
