andy-hughes, as always, when you're cornered you dance your usual dance. I'm not surprised. Regardless of what he says, Tommy Robinson is, in your book, labelled a bigot and a racist - both lazy terms intended to silence the opposition. And no mention from you of the people he is criticising - you know, the ones who would relish this country becoming Islamic and who chop your head off in an instant.
Are you sure you’re so very offended by what he says?
An answer to that^ simple question would be welcome.
Ellipsis, // I don't agree with you, Naomi, separating a political leader from their crimes. If a leader is problematic then get a better leader. //
I don’t regard Tommy Robinson as a political leader - simply as someone who recognises the enemy within and has the courage to speak openly about it.
untitled, //how do you know that tommy robinson has the best interests of this country at heart?//
I listen to him and read what he has to say. Try it.

Well you sure had me fooled.
"I listen to him and read what he has to say. Try it."
I have done both but the thing is naomi is that its very easy to call oneself a patriot... it isn't too convincing really when all he ever does is get himself in trouble and then play the victim and shill for donations...
i think a patriot with his platform and resources might have actually done something to make this country better but he seems a lot more interested in grifting and indulging in bigotry
You cannot separate his politics from his behaviour - just like Gary Glitter and his glam rock, or Hitler and his vegetarianism, one thing affects the other. Otherwise it's not about him at all - it's about you. Tommy Robinson has the same politics as you - so what? It doesn't make him, or you, "right" ... in fact, when you look at his criminal record, it should put off any law-abiding citizen. If you want lawful people to follow your politics, find a leader that fits - it's not Tommy Robinson. Who though ... Richard Tice?

I am neither 'cornered' or 'dancing', you imagination is in full flow this morning.

If you wish to read any or all of my posts regarding 'Tommy Robinson', they are all directed at his criminal behaviour, his incitements to violence, and his arrogance in assuming that his racism can be disguised as 'patriotism'.
// Are you sure you’re so very offended by what he says? //
I have no interest in what he says, he is a self-aggrandising racist agitator making money out of gullible fools who support his nonsensical notions of 'making a difference'. The only 'difference' he cares about is the difference to the size of his bank account.
// An answer to that^ simple question would be welcome. //
There you are.

It doesn't take 'courage' to incite football thugs to punch complete strangers of a different ethnicity.
The notion of 'patriotism' as an excuse for racist violence has been around for a long time.
Oswald Moseley probably told his reflection he was a 'patriot' as well.
I can understand brainless hooligans being seduced by the chance of a day out and a fight, but I though better of you naomi.

I don;t think the two compare.
Gary Glitter didn't use his personal proclivities to create or influence his records, or his fans.
'Robinson' does exactly that.
