Feels like it ...

Hard to see in what universe this is going to help Russia's flailing and failing war effort. A few dead civilians more wasted missiles a population angrier and more defiant than ever: in 2024 Ukraine will ramp up its shell production to full capacity. And become less reliant on outside assistance for weaponry.

Just need to get Russians thrust out of the Olympics now. Tho it won't help in the war other than spelling out to this terrorist state that it's a pariah

I believe I read the Netherlands will be offering Fighter Aircraft to Ukraine. Hope that helps.

As I posted earlier they may already be there. Two months more max, with others to follow. And these planes were delayed apparently in order  to have advanced radar systems installed

this could go on for years..erm until putin drops dead, but who ever takes over might just carry on like stalin did, i think it's how long can the west hold keep supplying ukraine, or mind games till either it broke.. ww1

Question Author

Just think of this: Russia blew 1.2 billion dollars worth of weaponry on this attack.

Putin will keep this war going until either he wins it, is completely defeated, or he dies.

I don't think anyone knows yet which will come first.

I can't provide a link alas because of this inane tinkering with the site by the so-called techies but I note that another of Putin's cronys has demonstrated Newton's Law of gravity and has flown unaided from a 3rd floor window. I give you Vladimir Egorov. Really shocking aviators these russkies. Splat.

yeah but no but

they arent gonna run out of money innit?

Happy new year to itch's readership

Question Author

Egorov that's right.

They lost another plane tonight: a Tu-22 bomber. That's 9 recently.

Strong words from Biden tonight. Also from Zelensky who called the Russians "scum" and said that Ukraine would fight back against the "scumbags" taking the attack into Russia.

Let's hope so. There were not despite Russian claims  too many military targets among the schools hospitals private houses and apartment blocks

it's all such a waste for ones mans utopia, or napoleon syndrom in the 21 century, rather odd really, but i suppose with all that power and money it's erm gone to his head, shows he was never meant to be in power, another little corpral with big ideas.

from Putin's viewpoint he's not Napoleon trying to conquer the world but a Russian trying to reclaim a significant historical part of Russia.

I struggle to see this as an endgame, however. Does anyone really think he's just going to shrug his shoulders, say "You win some, you lose some" and withdraw the Russian forces? How will this end?

You are very naive if you think that: and also apparently oblivious to their evident actions and stated aims. They must be defeated militarily in Ukraine or  just a staging post. Russia is becoming a militaristic totalitarian state.

Ukraine has hit back tonight with multiple strikes in Belgorod and Bryansk - although it's unclear what they hit

If he defeats Ukraine he will continue to 'reclaim' all the other territories that he thinks belong to Russia.

Whether that is allowed to happen or not depends on western funding and whether the USA remains committed to NATO.

After 9 years, billions of roubles, hundred of thousands of deaths, your economy wrecked, your weapons arsenal rapidly depleting, 20% of your Black Sea fleet scuppered, you have tentatively only gained 17% of the territory you believed you would occupy fully in a few days.

Not going very well, is it Vladimir?

Question Author

Regarding the targets hit in Russia tonight: a huge microelectronics plant in Bryansk was hit by drones

Putin is like a warmongering despot from the middle ages. And he enjoys being a tyrant and accepts he will win or probably perish in defeat.

Shebekino being hit now: Zelensky wasn't kidding about going after the "scumbags"

Just seen that on news.^^:>)0
