Putin’s Last Desperate Throw Of The Dice?
Feels like it ...
Hard to see in what universe this is going to help Russia's flailing and failing war effort. A few dead civilians more wasted missiles a population angrier and more defiant than ever: in 2024 Ukraine will ramp up its shell production to full capacity. And become less reliant on outside assistance for weaponry.
Just need to get Russians thrust out of the Olympics now. Tho it won't help in the war other than spelling out to this terrorist state that it's a pariah

I give you Vladimir Egorov. Really shocking aviators these russkies. Splat.
Egorov that's right.
They lost another plane tonight: a Tu-22 bomber. That's 9 recently.
Strong words from Biden tonight. Also from Zelensky who called the Russians "scum" and said that Ukraine would fight back against the "scumbags" taking the attack into Russia.
Let's hope so. There were not despite Russian claims too many military targets among the schools hospitals private houses and apartment blocks
from Putin's viewpoint he's not Napoleon trying to conquer the world but a Russian trying to reclaim a significant historical part of Russia.
I struggle to see this as an endgame, however. Does anyone really think he's just going to shrug his shoulders, say "You win some, you lose some" and withdraw the Russian forces? How will this end?
You are very naive if you think that: and also apparently oblivious to their evident actions and stated aims. They must be defeated militarily in Ukraine or just a staging post. Russia is becoming a militaristic totalitarian state.
Ukraine has hit back tonight with multiple strikes in Belgorod and Bryansk - although it's unclear what they hit
After 9 years, billions of roubles, hundred of thousands of deaths, your economy wrecked, your weapons arsenal rapidly depleting, 20% of your Black Sea fleet scuppered, you have tentatively only gained 17% of the territory you believed you would occupy fully in a few days.
Not going very well, is it Vladimir?
