Thousands of immigrants have been given the wrong stamp on their documents, in a home office bungle granting them the right to live in the UK indefinitely .A home office spokesperson says the stamp is "shrouded in mystery".....Oh dear Rishi.
It as also beem discovered that 17,000 asylum seekers who had their applications refused have just vanished into the UK .
Whilst another batch of Asylum seeker have gone home to their own country to spend Christmas with their families.

One can insist the buck stops at the top if you wish, but practically those decisions will have been made at the level of those in the service.
Still, if the meaning of the stamp has now been clarified it's just another task they have to contact those illegally here and arrange to either deport or to decide to update those immigrants' status.
