Did you intend to mislead with your headline?

if there were no Tories or Labour, 85% of Lib Non Dem voters would vote.....err... Lib Non Dem, well who'd have thunk it! ....and why isn't that 100% ?

I wouldn't vote LibDem - ever.

It's interesting that even if there were no Tories and no Labour the Lib Non Dems still would not get a majority!

"Did you intend to mislead with your headline"

No; that's the whole idea of the YouGov poll: a bit of fun or revealing? You decide

But it imagines there's no Labour too ...

Question Author

I suppose some Lib Dems might only be voting to keep Labour or the Tories out ...

Question Author

It does Naomi: apologies.

I think Reform would soar ahead.  Any Brexiteer who voted LibDem would need to have a very short memory.

Question Author

Reform soaring ahead? Well not according to that poll anyway. And re the Lib Dems a lot of referendum voters might either have changed their minds or moved on

How pointless! Not worth discussing.

It was actually Labour who stymied Brexit: I say that as a Labour supporter and supporter of the EU; they had the numbers in Parliament to get Brexit done but they voted against. The Lib Dems might have openly opposed it in principle but in practice they didn't have the power

I imagine they alienated a lot of people with the slogan they adopted - *** to Brexit.  I doubt that impressed anyone except those who were equally as eager to trash democracy.

I think what the libdem result tells us is that 14% of them are just voting tactically against Labour or Tories.

With those gone, they would be free to vote for what they actually wanted, which wouldn't be libdem.

Up here in Scotland the waters are a bit muddier.People up here might have to vote against their instincts to get the Tartan Tories(SNP)out. If only the Lib-Dems grew a set and stopped being such a bunch of wishy-washy woke-eristas,they are neither one thing or another.

Clegg did for the Lib Dem’s. He made sure that his own nest was well feathered first. Despicable creature.

...and Ed Milliband did it for Labour.Imagine this wee chancer compared to his brother David.Alec Salmond would have been leading Ed and Clegg around by the nose if the Lib-Dems hadnt opted to try to ameliorate the wilder excesses of the Tory Party.

My forecast come October.

Very narrow victory for Conservative party.

Labour much bolstered but still not got both hands on the handlebars.

Davey and Co. virtually eliminated, especially Saint Davey.

Let the shouting continue.
