Piers Morgan has bet Rishi Sunak the sum of £1,000 that no immigrants will be deported to Rwanda before the Next GE. And Rishi has shaken hands on it. I would have sooner bet Sunak that the Consevatives will lose the Next GE .  Would be a safer bet.

....oh and it's not gambling when you know the outcome.

TTT - Please do not use overtly insulting labels when you are responding to posts.

Thank you.

what insulting labels gawd they was a legit post.

that

I wondered how long it would take before Gully found this.

Great idea, I have found a very good way to tell if someone believes their own opinion is to offer them a wager. Then you see their true belief in what they are saying. Usually they scurry off because in reality they usually don't believe their own view and are just saying something, anything, to be contrary. Clearly the PM does believe his view in this case, well done.

If you need it spelt out - again - no problem.

Reference to AB'ers as 'Fifth Columnists' is not acceptable, and such posts will be deleted on sight.

Hopefully that clears up any misunderstanding.

Or, maybe, just maybe, he can well afford to lose £1K.

But bear in mind, this is from a PM who thinks that deporation to Rwanda is a good idea, and a workable solution to the migrant crisis.

So I for one would not take his word for it if he told me that the day of the week had a 'y' in it.

So you think some will be sent to Rwanda before the next general election Gulliver?  I'm surprised you're backing success for this government.  That's a first!

This is no longer about Rwanda, it's become a test of strength between the Government and the handwringers.

I never gamble but I do like a bet.

My money's on the handwringers.

Not because they are correct - far from it - but they only have themselves to please.

They don't need to swing like a weathervane in a Force Ten to try and wheedle enough votes to stay in power.

In their scheme of things, they are already in power!

Was it Piers Morgan that wanted to interview The Clown PM Boris Johnson, the day, when Boris hid in a fridge.???

I wonder if Sunak will enter this bet in the House of Commons Register of Members’ Financial Interests.

Question Author

I like Piers Morgan....he has a way of scaring Tory PMs.

I hope he does Hymie, when he wins, that'll be a very historical entry.

Question Author

13.49 Hymie More to the point .When Rishi has to settle the bet Will he put it down to expenses ,and get the tax payer to cover the bill.

For the Prime Minister to make such a bet is probably a breach of the ministerial code, in that he stands to directly gain financially - dependent on the success of parliamentary legislation.

Not that Tory Prime Ministers’ take much notice of the ministerial code, or any other moral behaviour you might expect from someone.
