Now I know that we must have ethnic diversity in news readers but how did this woman pass a screen test? She can't pronounce "L", says "De" instead of "the" and stumbles over sentences all the time, just waiting to see if she says "aks"! What happened to quality, like Clive Myrie, Trevor McDonut and Moira Stewart for example?

I think you are seriously over-estimating the value of your OP, and your value in arguing it to the extent that you have.

I suspect that the other posters have realised that you are determined to maintain this ludicrous notion that they are 'fooling themselves' rather than 'admit' that you are 'right', and they have decided there is no point in carrying on.

You are determined to maintain the facade that everyone else actually agrees with you, and now they are too 'frightened' to own up.

This thread ceased to be about 'an opinion' the moment someone disagreed with you.

Your opinion was in the OP, and fair enough, I, and others do not agree with you, which is absolutely not a problem.

The problem began when you decided, for reasons of your own, that I, and everyone else, actually do agree with you, but we are frightened to say so.

And that is the argument you have consistently come back with, no matter how many times it is refuted.

It's like arguing with a Flat Earther. The evidence against your point has been offered, you prefer to think that those offering it are in full agreement with you, but for some reason, and only you know what they may be, are unable to simply come out and say that they agree with you.

They don't.

And I don;t mind not agreeing with you.

I simply take exception to your assertion that actually I do agree, but I'm frightened to say so.

Only that you allow others to have the view to which they are equally entitled, without you telling them they are frightened to agree with you, when they don't.

People on here love to oppose, it's more important to them than anything else. Look at my TWAU threads they have people pretending to be thick rather than go alone with a slightly TIC observation. Anyway I digress.

I can only speak personally,  but you know that many times I have agreed with you in the past, and will again.

If you want to offer an argument that other detractors are being awkward for the sake of it,  that's between you and them.
