Is Penny Mordaunt about to be crowned PM number four to try to rescue The sinking Tory Titanic.  Tory MPs have held secret talks with moderates about replacing Rishi Sunak .This would mean she will be PM number four . How many more will they appoint before they are wiped out at the GE..

The polls are now showing the lowest support for the Tories in over 40 years..... no wonder they want Sunak out.

Penny Mordaunt is now seen as the Tories last ditch stand to try and defeat Labour who seem to be romping home at the General election .

Mordaunts profile has been somewhat boosted by her sword  wielding role at the Coronation .But she just like Johnson tells lies..Mordaunt Claimed that she was qualified and commissioned in Royal Navy reserve But senior officers say she had never qualified or been commissioned in the Navy.So she can't be trusted.

Mordaunt said she has leader-ship and her experience in the navy taught her that leader-ship was less about the leader and more about the ship ...But even she can't save The Tory Titanic hitting an iceberg and sinking.

The Conservatives have realised rather baleatedly, that Sunak is really really bad at politics. His handling of really basic stuff has seen him wanting and the party faithful exacerbated at his hopelessness.

Apparently recently there has been a flood of letters to Graham Brady, and he met with Sunak a few days ago to be told he had lost the party.

If it happens, Sunak will come under pressure to stand down after bad local election results, and Mordaunt installed in the summer.

I doubt a new leader will save them. But it might advert an embarrassing defeat.

I doubt anything will stop an embarrassing defeat, regarding replacing Sunak with Mordaunt is hissing in the wind. I would guess that 65% of the population don't have a clue to who the hell she is?

Mr NiceBloke 14.00, spot on again The Tories could process quite a  lot of the Liz Truss type 49 day Tory PMs in and out of no 10 before the end of the year It would keep Pickfords busy.

Gulliver, you have been told before, you can join the naval reserve as an officer without having served in the Royal Navy first. Anybody, providing they are fit and have the necessary qualifications required by the Navy, will be allowed to become a reservist.

Mordaunt would be daft to accept a job that is bound to end with the party losing an election.  Far better to let Sunak lead and then the disaster is on his shoulders and she could lead a revival. She didn't do herself any harm by her part in the Coronation.

Sir Jacob Rees Mogg (AKA Lord Snooty) has denounced the idea of making Mordaunt PM as absolute madness .Almost as mad as   Boris Johnson giving this twerp Moggy a peerage.
