Farage was splattered with milkshake today.

I'm pretty sure I know who will be so come on admit it.  The left always get violent when no argument.  She should be arrested, charged with assault and fined regardless of what (any) politican wants to happen.

Personally I deplore such actions against any politian and before the usual start I was right behind 2 Jabs when he was attacked - look it up if you dont believe me.

Hymie, I don't think he's a swivel eyed loon, nor a bigot, nor a racist.  Apart from your insufferable ego, what makes you think you know more than anyone else about anything?  And I agree with NJ.  Coming from a grown man this incessant name calling is ridiculous.  Perhaps if you made the effort to express yourself more articulately you could dispense with it.

It's pathetic. But democracy does provoke a reaction from the woke fascist mob.

"Coming from a grown man this incessant name calling is ridiculous."

Unless that grown man is right-leaning then any old Quisling, Vichy, peace porridge guzzler etc etc is fair game.

Pah! Hah! and so on.

"I could start a thread that contained a number of Farage’s views, actions, pronouncements etc – that prove beyond reasonable doubt that the man is a swivel-eyed-loon,"

Before you do that, it might help if you explained what a "swivel-eyed loon" is (apart from somebody whose views you disagree with).

I've found this article in The Guardian:

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/shortcuts/2013/may/22/how-to-spot-swivel-eyed-loon

I'm somewhat inclined to believe it is a bit of satire because, as with you, the Grauniad's interpretation of a Swivel-Eyed Loon seems to coincide with just about everybody that rag disagrees with.

But there's a more serious side to this. You said this yesterday in another thread:

"The mad people in America (and Farage) think Trump is innocent – they are wrong, and we should do all in our power to stop such false truths being spread over the internet (including this site)."

I explained that Mr Trump had been found guilty by due process but there were people who still believed that verdict to be wrong. I also pointed out that a man by the name of Andrew Malkinson had spent 17 years in prison in the UK having been found guilty of rape by due process and he had, supporting him, people who believed that verdict was wrong. He recently had his conviction quashed in the Court of Appeal.

But according to you, his supporters would have been guilty of spreading "false truths" and that we should do all in our power to stop them doing so. Do you really believe that? If you don't, what's the difference between Mr Trump and his supporters (among whom is Mr Farage) and Mr Malkinson? Is it that you simply don't agree with the views of Messrs Trump and Farage and you've no particular views on Mr Malkinson, or is it something else?

Quite frankly, if you're beginning to rant about the need to prevent politicians from spreading "false truths" (defined presumably as those with which you and the Guardian disagree) I'm beginning to wonder who the swivel-eyed loon really is.

Spungle. Are you suggesting that the milk splasher is a right winger a bit like Hitler? Or just using 'fascist' as a convenient meaningless insult?

NJ. I'm beginning to lose a bit of my respect for the judiciary when I read your posts.

a case for bringing back the stocks.....

Atheist, doubtless the judiciary will be devastated to hear that.

Someone said on here that Farage is racist, that makes me a racist too then, I want ALL illegal immigrants stopped from coming here and I'm very happy that we are out of Europe with the Brexit vote!

God save the King!

Huzzah!

The greatest thing about the Guardian link is at the foot of it headed "This is what we're up against".

It is a crappy rag of a paper.

Some may remember Ted Heath had ink thrown at him.  And now milkshakes for Farage, neither are acceptable.

Man has milk shake thrown at him ... is that really headline news?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news

Essex Police said a 25-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assault.

Mr Farage, who had milkshake thrown over him in Newcastle upon Tyne in 2019, appeared to make light of the incident later, posing with a tray of four milkshakes in the nearby Jaywick.

As all it should be ...

Deskdiary, I misread that as 'gobby groups' instead of 'lobby groups'. Sounds about right.  😂

Somebody will be along shortly, Ellipsis,  to tell how it could have been a harmful substance, even though it wasn't and there will be no mention of Mr Farage's drive to 'shake' up British politics.

It's just bananas

McFlurry Madness ...

At least it wasn't bull or cow, though I bet NF has had plenty lobbed at him in the past....he does sort of ask for it.

he does sort of ask for it.

Do you think women in short skirts ask for it?

John Precott would have given her a thick ear.

I suppose I should say i condemn all physical attacks on politicians, but hey we all enjoyed it didn't we
