Farage was splattered with milkshake today.

I'm pretty sure I know who will be so come on admit it.  The left always get violent when no argument.  She should be arrested, charged with assault and fined regardless of what (any) politican wants to happen.

Personally I deplore such actions against any politian and before the usual start I was right behind 2 Jabs when he was attacked - look it up if you dont believe me.

"NJ. I'm beginning to lose a bit of my respect for the judiciary when I read your posts."

I'll manage. But what particularly troubles you about them in this thread?

At the risk of sounding humourless, fiveleaves, NO I did not enjoy this.  It is denigrating the electoral process and once more proving that some people simply cannot tolerate the fact that others have different opions themselves. That those people have to resort to physical aggression is deplorable in a civilised society.

Free speech must mean that - many people nowadays dare not express their opinions on anything. I hesitate quite often. Just to be clear - I was also appalled when Prescott was egged.

Indeed.

But I was also disappointed by his counter attack.

I doubt any reasonable person supports these actions. Trouble is a precedent was long ago made regarding Nigel & milkshakes. 6 months in clink for the perpetrators might cool things down.

I note that an emergency worker was also assaulted - another violent act.

The concern should be - today milk, tomorrow acid.

In defence of the position that despite being found guilty of 32 felony charges, Trump may not have actually committed the crimes based on other guilty verdicts being shown to have been wrong.

Well, maybe you can cite a case where one of the co-conspirators (Michael Cohen) pled guilty to his involvement in the criminal conspiracy and spent time in jail (when there was no criminal conspiracy).

It took the jury less than 2 days to find Trump guilty of all 32 charges – and in the jury selection process, one of the jurors admitted that they got some of their ‘news’ from Trump’s ‘Truth Social’.

^^^ Is this on the right thread?

^^^^ Yes.

I’m doing my bit, where the media are failing to point out the bleedin’ obvious re Farage - as Maximilien Robespierre explains:-

At least others are calling out Farage’s BS.

This is the lady (from the Express photo) who has such a strong & incisive understanding of British politics.

She seems though to have false hair, false lips & false ti ts. However despite all of those handicaps she has managed to have her moment of fame.

Well, thank you Daily Express for sharing that photo with us all. Was the perp wearing that when she confronted the blessed Nigel?

“In defence of the position that despite being found guilty of 32 felony charges, Trump may not have actually committed the crimes based on other guilty verdicts being shown to have been wrong.
Etc….”

You still miss the point (and I’m beginning to think you do so deliberately). But I’ll try again.

I’ve no view on Mr Trump’s verdict. I’ve taken no interest in the case and know nothing about it. What concerns me is your assertion that people should be silenced because they say things you don’t like or don’t want to hear for one reason or another. Nobody in this country should be silenced as long as what they say does not break the law.

What makes you believe that you (or indeed anybody else) should be the arbiters of what people can or cannot say?

Much against my better judgement I put the James O’Brien clip on subtitles (I’d rather stick pins in my eyes than listen to him). Basically all he was saying is that the media are to blame for beatifying Mr Farage and the public are to blame for believing the media. Well that’s just too bad. If Mr Farage is so ridiculous all his opponents have to do is mount a better campaign and nobody will listen to him. But you want him silenced.

Sorry, but thankfully it doesn’t work like that here.

it is  a pie-surprise - you are meant to squash a cream cake into your  selected customers face

People often use shaving cream which  stings

acceptable in that people do it and pay the fine - c criminal record etc with all that entails

I am sure  that Andrew Malkinson is delighted to be paraded as an example of criminal injustice for any convicted felon anywhere in the world. I'm sure that his original trial had just as much oversight as the former President, for example.

There's a huge difference between Malkinson and Trump. Malkinson didn't do it. Trump did it, the only question was whether it was OK to call it "Legal expenses" when saying something a bit more descriptive might have lost him the 2016 election  ...

She absolutely should be arrested and charged for her actions. Such attacks only strengthen Farage's argument. If people are to be defeated, it should be with words and constructive argument. Otherwise, we're heading into Trump territory.

I don't believe anyone thinks it's acceptable.

Fiveleaves clearly does, showing a break from his endless superior piety to show that underneath, he's not really Christian, in the ways that matter, at all.

I haven't seen fiveleaves post.

I think all decent people condemn this kind of thing. No matter how much one dislikes the target, assaulting them is not right.

I loved it when Prescott fought back against the man that assaulted him.

unacceptable, but a milkshake isn't in the same league as a punch, except maybe a fruit punch.

If Prescott had a milkshake in his hand at the time  he probably would have gone with that as a defence mechanism.

As it was he had to make do with what he had.

I think it all happened in less than a second.
