Congrats To Spain.....
They were the best side in the tournement. I am dissapointed but not surprised. We had our moments and I enjoyed the goal and the joy it brought in my club but if I'm honest we were only really in with a shout because of several brilliant saves from Pickford. Could easily have been 4-1. We found a way and got to the final, I'm proud of that, well done guys but we need work to win a major tournament.

piggy: "22.58.. anybody else agree with hoppy?" - womens football is a completey different kettle of fish. It's funny the negative comments about GS but he's done more that any manger since Ramsey. Last 3 major tournaments we've been in at least the semi and in two, the final. Have people forgotten that we used by biting our nails to get out of the group? The best we did between Ramsay and Southgate was italia 90 under bobby Robson.
Here's why women's football and men's are a completely different game:

// I Blame Brexit //
the European Championships have been held every 4 years since 1960, well before the formation of the EU in 1993, and even before the UK joined the EEC in 1973. England have been consistently losing in that competition for 60 years before Brexit so I really can't see your connection.
I add my "well done" to Spain. It's a shame that - imo - England weren't let off the leash a bit & allowed to play more like they do for their clubs. It was the final & I think they'd have rather lost while trying to play as they know they can, rather than sticking to a defence-minded game plan. Heigh-ho...
And before mine gets removed or we get a message from an anon mod please note the OP was discussing the football final, only one poster started being unpleasant bringing politics and brexit into it hence derailing and winding eveyone up. The htreaad should have remained about the football (which I actually predicted Spain would win 3-1...)
