With all the news making the decent British population disaffeceted with our own country, how about a reminder of what makes Britain Great? I will start............

When we were an Empire, we were ruled by an emporer.

Now we're a country we're ruled by Tony Blair.

Great, we haven't been great for years.

The Black Country used to be the industrial backbone of the world, till all the bits got sold off cheap to the far east and now we buy back in crap quality stuff at less than we used to make it for. Who cares if it's no good? We are helping Johnny Foriegner feed his kids in some other country.

We have a good police force, but a CPS scared of upsetting certain parts of the community. We have judges so far out of touch they should resign. We have the legal system that thinks that smacking an old dear up for her pension should carry a lesser sentence than no TV licence. We have coppers doing 159mph, and walking away with it. We have an open door policy for all the world's waifs, strays, and fanatical headbangers, and then their families, and then we're too scared to kick them out. We have all the old houses being knocked down to build little boxes called apartments, and the first time buyers now din't flinch at 100k. If you don't tax a car, you get fined. The fact it's sat in the garage with no engine is irrelevant. What's that about innocent till proved guilty?

No wonder so many Brits bog off to Spain!

Yeah, bloody immigrants coming in, pushing up the prices of houses so that locals can't afford them, bringing there foreign culture and weird customs with them; bringing over their families 'just for a holiday', yeah right, how many of them never go back? Settling in their ghettoes and not mixing, I mean some areas are just so full of these foreigners that you wouldn't want to go to that area, let alone live there!

why do do people always put the country down? We have loads of things that should make us feel proud of where we come from!!! If its such a bad place to live why are there so many imigrants here?

I'm amazed this question hasn't been reported and removed by the very PC ABed. The government don't want you to remember what used to be great about Britain, they want us to lose our national identity because to call oneself British or say that we have a shred of British culture or pride is incredibly racist and could start the muslims demonstrating again, wanting to behead us for daring to be so racist as to have some pride in our country! Great Britain? the Great part evaporated instantly in May 1997!
