The lies about immigration

So we are told immigration is good for the country.

But today on the BBC web site I read:

Sharp council tax rises may be needed in the next few years to fund housing and education for immigrant families, says the Local Government Association.

Yet again the indiginous population are paying for this (and previous) governments lax control of immigration.

Why is opposing the current scale of immigration considered racist?I don't get it, and am fed up with being shown the race card.

Immigration wouldnt be necessary if the population- (mostly aged) - was able to support itself.

Its economics: immigrants (legal,employed) keep the economy going, support the pension system, and so on.

And the problems associated with immigrants, well that's everywhere. There is never a perfect (cost free) solution, is there?

If anybody thinks that the swamping of our country by immigrants illegal or otherwise is an accident, or done to enhance our society then they are sadly mistaken. This is a deliberate ploy by the fascist left (New Labour) to dilute and destroy Britain's culture, history and society so that they can ease their post colonial guilt complex. New Labour detest Britain and it's history and are well on the way to realising their dream of destroying it and letting the rest of the world wipe their feet on us. The Human Rights act ,uncontrolled immigration and the discracefull surrenders to the EU have emasculated and weakened Britain and Blair et al are rubbing their hands at our ambivalance. Que the racsim smears etc.

There certainly rascists around in this country, but this isn't a UK-specific disease. Every country to a degree harbours rascism. I think the specific problem the UK has is that we surrendered national pride to the NF in the 70s.

Since then, whenever people speak in favour of tighter immigration policies, or pride in their country, it sounds exactly like NF/BNP sympathies, and there's no room left for you moderates (and yes, I'm including Ward~Minter in that...I see through his occasional stirrings as easily as grandma's underwear).

By the way, we're not 'swamped' by immigrants. Non-Britons make up around 6% of the population. Remember that immigrant populations are concentrated in urban areas, which may give the impression that numbers are greater than they are.

All this talk about being racist by the liberal left. what I say to these yogurt knitting, sandal wearers is this " say the goverment were to announce that due to a higher influx of immigrants than expected and owing to the shortage of accommodation for them, we are expected to take them into our houses, feed them and allow them free use of the car and all other facilities that one has worked to pay for." How many then would still be so accommodating towards them ? This is our country and just as we erect fences around our properties to keep unwanted persons off our own small piece of land, we should now close our borders for the same reason.

Let's not fogret that the head of the LGA who produced this report is a certain Sandy Bruce-Lockhart - former Tory leader of Kent County Council and an expert at blaming the Labour government for all the short-comings of his administration. He isn't exactly an objective commentator and might well be out to make party political capital. Also the report says "may be needed".

I think the debate has now swung too far in the opposite direction to the extent that many genuine racists can shout "It's the PC brigade trying to silence me".

People are genuinely concerned about current immigration policies, but with the exception of The Independent, we aren't given a balanced view of what is actually happening.

Does the current climate remind anyone of what was happening to certain members of society in Germanu in the 30s?

Honestly, I'm not taking the mickey - I just think yours is a pretty extreme view and I'd like to know where you're coming from.

I don't think the British Government want to destroy Britain they wish to destroy England. This will be accomplished by turning England into an Islamic nation by the end of the century.

yes, those b@stard immigrants, many of whom are fleeing oppression and war (which we are probably responsible for). maybe if we helped them out where they were (for example zimbabwe) then they wouldn't have to come here. it's just lucky we were born here and they weren't. my parents came here from the U.S. that would make them immigrants.
