Did anyone see the meeting between the Home Secretary and the group of moderate Muslims? It only goes to prove that you only have to scratch the surface to find out there is no such thing as a moderate muslim. Why are they always so angry?
Why were the heckler from a banned group and those with the threatning placards not arrested by that very small cop or was it a little kid in a cops outfit?
Or does the law only arrest old men that heckle the PM?

Just heard on radio 5 live that Galloway has written to John reid about the speech. he has made a few important points
The heckler was a well known islamist who belongs to a proscribed terrorist organisation and has been banned and been involved in many police incidents and hostage situations
He has appeared on TV esposing terrorism
Why was he allowed at the speech???. is it to make John reid look good? Is it to make the muslims look bad

On the matter of why muslims are so intolerant about 13 items below this one there is one headed Muslims in which a contributor called Kingsway makes the point that the first duty of a follower of Islam is to believe and then fight. Scattered through the thread Kingsway then makes several quotes from the Koran which are eye-opening and make you think.
Equally, you could make much the same argument about the Jews:

And thou shalt stone him with stones, that he die.

Are they equally eye-opening? Should we now reappraise the Jews in light of these revelations that their sacred book tells them to kill anyone who refuses their God?

Muslim's are increasingly becoming demonised - look at the many posts on this site since the 'pope' incident for example.
It worries me. Obviously the vast majority of all muslims are peace-loving, but it seems to me that many people are starting to believe that practically all Muslims are supporters of terrorism. Where is all this going?

I found it quite ironic that Mr.Reid was stating that we should all be on the lookout for home-grown terrorists and report if anyone suspects terrorist activity then the journalist /news reporter say's the guy heckling Mr. Reid was known for his connections to terrorist groups or activity.

It was specifically directed to the post that preceeded it that was making the point about the Koran containing imflamatory verses and saying 'so what?' So do other people's holy books. Of itself, it proves nothing about the follower's disposition to be violent or otherwise.

As is so often the case, Froog, you do not understand the question. The question asks "Why are the Muslims so angry?". Until i read that other thread I did not know what was in the Koran. The answer to the question then became clear - for 1300 years Islamist's have been obliged to believe in the Koran and fight. The perceived "anger" is nothing other than Islamist's carrying out the duty that has been drilled into them - fight. The Jew's to whom you refer do not have that duty and are not, and never have, behaved in the disgraceful way that the Islamist's are.
A while ago on BBC's Question Time, a male Muslim audience member said - amongst other things - that women have too much power and that they should have the right to divorce taken away from them. Now I call that a nasty, sinister, chauvinistic speech. Yet the compere (can't recall if it was Dimbleby or Sissons) just giggled in an embarrassed fashion and hastily moved on. In crude terms, it was rather like chuckling at the colourful foreigner with his quaint little ideas and not really taking him seriously. And that's in effect how certain Islamists have succeeded in the push push push of their agenda day after day in this country. It's as if we pat them on the head and say "oh that's nice" when they threaten us with death. If that QT fascist had been, for instance, a white person stating that male Muslims should not have the power to divorce you can imagine the furore. I don't care what's in the Koran; if a muslim makes a public speech that contradicts the equality and freedoms of this country, he should be arrested and charged for it. There are too many examples of Islamic hecklers, rioters, scholars and terrorists getting away with things their infidel counterparts would not.
That disgusting creature who heckled John Reid also appears to use 9/11 and 7/7 as whacking material. He needs his collar felt for that. Then again, the best way to hit someone like him is to stop his Giro payments.
