Well, to be fair, aside from education (and perhaps health, if I remember correctly), that isn't really the fault of the Scots.

And before anyone leaps on this, I'm not sure it's fair to blame the English either. Well, perhaps one English person. Or, rather; woman, if you're that way inclined. But I'm going to try and avoid shooting off on this one - I know too little.
