Missile Defence missiles to be stationed in Britain

One of my sources has reported that to save America from humiliation Tony Blair has told Putin he would be willing to site the missiles away from Eastern Europe and put them up in Britain. Do you agree with this?

as Blair is days from retirement, I wouldn't put too much trust in your source. If Gordon Brown agrees, of course, that's a different matter.

That was before the recent difficulties with Putin.

As the system does not work yet, and the threat is theoretical at the moment (No rogue nations have long range missiles), then I suspect nothing will happen for several more years.

Quite But did you think the meeting with Blair and Putin following the G8 summit only last week was about trivia. It was also about the siting of a new US missile system and where Britain could help to defuse the situation.
