Mmmmm and there I was thinking they are two different ends of the criminal spectrum. How silly of me.

Heart disease kills a lot more people than cancer. Therefore we should stop trying to find a cure for cancer?

Drugs kill people. These girls were thankfully caught before more people were needlessly killed or become hooked on vile and illegal drugs.

Not only do I hope they rot in hell, but I would strongly advocate there are assaulted everyday of their paltry 10 year sentence with a cat-o-nine-tails. I imagine in a putrid African cell, the wounds would never heal and they may hopefully die of an infection upon release.

That'll teach them. Pesky kids!!!

I seriously don't think a 16 year old has the life experience to see the implications of trafficking drugs. They can see what would happen if they murdered someone or why robbing a bank was wrong.

Of course you are just being you and I wouldnt expect any compassion for these children who got manipulated by someone older.

I find it very hard to be compassionate about some second generation immigrants bringing lethal drugs in to the UK. Call me old fashioned, but I kind of like it that way.

But why do you consider that the infraction of driving laws and drug laws are at two ends of the spectrum. You say that they are, but on what basis? Is it because in this country there are stiffer penalties? I imagine that parents who have had their children killed by drivers who were not for whatever reason driving safely are as anguished as parents whose children who have died through the effects of alcohol.
Cocaine possibly a nasty drug, dunno never used it. Nicotine and alcohol, it kills so many but I have never considered sending publicans, off license and supermarkets to Hell.

of late you have commented on a couple of posts that you are not lacking in intelligence. I am concerned that you need to draw attention to this. Are you feeling challenged and therefore it is important that you assert this to others? Please do not let the fact that other people disagree with you, influence your self image. I really do not understand your last post.

The debate concerning alcohol and tobacco vrs drugs has died a death on here.

Drugs are for loser. Drugs are for the weak and lonely and these two 16 year old girls deserve all they get.

That is my point. The wider issue need not be brought in to it.

250 people die each year in the UK with nut allergy. I do not for one moment propose to ban KP products.

I just hope these two young ladies are cute so some big fat mamma will treat them like the dogs they so clearly are.

Our drugs laws are an anachronism.

Are you personally affected by those who deal in drugs; production, distribution, profit and loss.
Why are you more bothered about those who deal, use and distribute illegal drugs than legal drugs?
I still can not get a full understanding of your view and why you have formed the opinion you have.
Drugs are for the lonely and the loosers. If that is true, why does it bother you? Are you one of the loosers, if not how does it affect you in any way. Which drugs are you concerned about, do you not worry about alcohol and if not why not?
Why do you post on issues that have no meaningful impact on your life? Or if this is meaningful, do you worry about your drug use? If so is this the forum to use?

Ruby, I see so many people in a drugs argument say because they are illegal. They don't weigh up other things they do that are equally or more dangerous. They just hark back to the its illegal thing. You obviously have a better idea about these things, so why do they do that? It's like they are told something and they cannot possibly question it. Alcohol is far more dangerous but if the government made it illegal would they just accept that too. Probably not because they enjoy it.

I think you'll find that the 'drug pusher' who 'took advantage' of these poor girls lives in the same street as them in the UK, probably an uncle or close relation. It's another family business set up by an immigrant entrepreneur. He's British allright, he's got the passport, dole cheque and council flat to prove it. But he makes a lot of trips back home to Africa, or rather his passport does!

Ruby I do not have a 4 year old who has been kidnapped in Portugal, yet it has effected me somewhat and I pray to God she is found.

But to answer your statement, drugs effect us all. How many burglaries and robberies are associated with drug addiction. Probably about 95 percent!!!

What a stupid argument. Stop trying to be clever. It won't wash with me, and any more stupid analogies and arguments for the positive use of drugs is making more determined that they are the sludge of society.
