Not yet smudge, How can buying cat food to feed the strays abroad help those Bulls in Spain?

Incidently are you not aware that it is most cruel to feed those strays abroad, because they become dependent on you and when all thee tourists have gone home they suffer. I have been told this by the inhabitants of most countries I have visited.

Regarding ELVIS68-: Horse Racing isn`t cruel, if a horse didn`t want to jump a fence, it wouldn`t

The times I have heard this old chestnut. If you was thundering down a course at an excessive speed and an obstacle suddenly appeared in your way, surely the sensible thing to do would be to jump over it, if at all possible.

Perhaps also, if the Bears didn't want to box they wouldn't.

Ha, ha, ha! I somehow thought you might be back AOG!

There was I, sitting here having a breather after doing some gardening & filling up the bird feeders, only to find I'm now being accused of being cruel for feeding stray cats!

Let me tell you AOG, I am not a cruel person for feeding the strays & some of our friends who own properties abroad, also do the same. If it gives them a bit of nourishment now & then, so be it.

If you or anyone else don't like it - then tough, we shall carry on regardless!

P.S. Even though squirrels can be a nuisance at times, I still take a bag of peanuts with me to our local park & our grandchildren enjoy feeding them too.

P.P.S.Makes me wonder why they have soup kitchens in London & other towns to feed the homeless (ya'know stray people).

Back again to to make two replies, how dare you call Gromit and I brainless and of having little sense, sounds very much like a little old lady who has lost her argument.

Although you took the time to tell us that some of your friends who own properties abroad, and they also feed the stay cats is no defence whatsoever, they must be equally as batty as you, I still maintain it is not only cruel to the cats but also creates problems for the locals, do what you like in the UK but leave the locals to manage their cats .

You even admit feeding those tree rats (squirrels) don't you also realise that the Grey squirrel is causing much damage not only to the trees but also to property if they get in. Incidently they are also destroying our native Red Squirrels. I have both foxes and squirrlels in my garden and would never dream of feeding them.

Wild animals are quite able to fend for themselves without any help from you. Your pps is absolutely ridiculous stray people indeed.

Me and anotheoldgit have sparred many times. I don't think we have really agreed on anything, ever. However, I have alway found him to be courteous, a good debater and he has never resorted to personal insults.
