had misgivings about the family since philomena gave a press conference .she was soon shut away by family.
ive clashed on this subject with many .
boo in particular finds it unacceptable that the family may be involved somehow.
hard facts are they are along with robert murat the main suspects .
they are in fact the last people to see maddy alive that the police can talk to .
unless an abductor comes forward or is caught.
so only right they should be questioned .
as often as it takes if they know something.
if not then they should be glad to be helping in the inquiry

something I spotted in another forum earlier...
Correio da Manh has revealed some very worrying details this morning....(Portuguese daily paper)
I cannot vouch for the validity of anything written.
here it is...
in bad english ,, the end paragraph the most interesting
Actualidade 2007-09-06 - 01:15:00 Decisive results Confirmed ADN of Maddie Biological fluids of Maddie had been found by the laboratory of Birminghan in the samples sent by the Judiciary Policy for England. The cm knows that these vestiges - by rough estimate found not perceivable residues of naked blood in the apartment of the Oce-an Club and in the car rented for the McCann - already if find in the ownership of the PJ and will have to determine immediate developments of the case. Most important she will have to be a new interrogation to the parents of Madeleine and to some of the friends of the couple who if found of vacation in the Algarve when the child disappeared. These developments based on the results of the biological samples today are also notified by some English periodicals that point with respect to the accomplishment of detentions in next the 48 hours. The samples most important, of the sets of ten that had been sent for England, must have been the collected ones in the apartment of the Mc-Cann in the Beach of the Light, in particular in the soil and a closet in the house where later the family if installed and in the car that had rented after the girl having disappeared. These samples had been collected after the English pisteiros dogs having signaled biological vestiges of blood and corpse odor in clothes of Kate McCann.
make of that what you wish.

why have i been mentioned by you yet again Legend? I'm getting tired of having to defend my opinions when you chop them to pieces and merrily slap them elsewhere (yes, I'm aware you posted my threads in another forum)
To clarify my point of view, I said that I personally find it hard to believe that the parents had anything to do with Maddie's disappearance. I may be looking at it this way because I find it really really really difficult to think that any parent could do this to their child, or i could very well be looking at it from the view point that i don't want to believe they harmed her.

You know what's really odd about this case?
It's unimaginable that the parents killed her...and it's unimaginable that someone abducted her without a single witness seeing anything.
Considering these two points of view side by side....where does that leave the truth?
My guess is that this will never be resolved.
Could be wrong though...The Daily Express regularly tells everyone about new evidence, despite not having any contacts within the Portuguese police.

I believe the British police to be superior to the the Portuguese but the same cannot be said for our press. Right up to today both newspapers and news websites alike print things like "police question Kate" as their headline before going into less sensationalist, more accurate info on their inner pages. Questioning someone does not mean there is a jot of evidence against or suspicion of them. The permutations of what has happened to Maddy are infinite so too the reasons for questioning the parents again.
Having said that, I still roundly condemn their stupidity and selfishness at leaving those children unsupervised.

As some one else said how many times has an imminant arrest by the police been on the cards.
They ain't half dragging their feet.
They only thing I can think of for it all is that they have been unable to find any solid evidence to point the finger fairly and squarly at any one.
It's so sad but I really don't think they are going to find her now.
