A British woman and her husband were excited to be starting a new life together in New Zealand. She however, has been forced to remain at home because she has been told she is too fat and is a potential burden on their healthcare system. What do you think? Does New Zealand have the right idea?

My family and I moved to NZ 4 years ago.
We obtained residency on a points system which took into account age , qualifications, work experience.
We also had to prove we could speak English (not joking) by means of an official letter from an ex employer. We were also required to have a full Dr's exam and chest X-rays.

All worth it in the end though I have to say!
