Teddy Bear Mohammed
So the lady is going to be charged in the Sudan.
Never, EVER, EVER again will I contribute even a sou if I think any of it will end up in a half-witted backward black savage Muslim country.
I did wonder if there would be demonstrations on the streets of Britain by moderate Muslims protesting against this supreme JOKE. No, there aren't any and there won't be.
I'll stick with my South American Christian charity for kids.
Coming soon to the Midlands - Hisslam.

Islam doesn't know a middle path, a tolerance to me (and you come to that).
I posted this to be annoying but at the same time genuine. There are too many little pieces of paper beimg waved about 'Peace in our time'
Islam is the greatest threat we have ever seen.

Why do people pursue the myth that all Islam doesn't know a middle path?
Do you know the Islamic republic of Pakistan? that country that has nuclear weapons? the country that has never used them?
Do you think that Muhammed Ali, Imran Khan, Zinedine Zidane, Kareem Abdul Jabbar are all radicals? Or do you think that although they are all Muslim, they do know a middle way?

OEV, I actually don't bloody care.
I perceive what I perceive and am reacting to it. Islam takes takes takes, but never gives. It is the greatest threat to our Western society and way of life, ever. It is rigid and unforgiving, even in the face of the most beneficient the most merciful.
And like I said, coming to Bradford soon.

This is a really big story around here, and I agree with the level of disgust and dismay (if not the terminology) I agree wholeheartedly that moderate Muslims should protest alongside right minded people of all creeds, colours and callings. They (muslims and liberals, Galloway were for art thou?)protest vocifreously about the war in Iraq and Afghanistan, howl passionately about the recent invasion of the Lebannon. very quiet about Hamas taking over the Gaza Strip though. There was a quote on the local news after a poll had been taken at a mosque they said that their views were"split" and quoted 1 as saying "she broke a strict local law" I'd be curious to know his viewpoint on the hijab, the veil and the burkha in schools?
but she asked the children to vote for a name and they chose that one, half of them are probably already called that anyway, and then the kids took it in turns to take it home and write a doary about the bear whilst they kept it, and then one o the parents finds out the teacher is english and that the bear was named after mohammed (because thats what the 8 year old kids chose) and the parent reports the teacher!!! not the kids!!! i don;t get it, why can so many people use the name but not call their cuddly toys the same name, that's a bit daft
Whiffey OEV, I actually don't bloody care. well if you won't listen to rational arguments, then I guess that would class you as a fundamentalist then? How ironic.

Which strict local law does the burkha / veil break?
beerbelly what has this story got to do with Enoch Powell? It is hardly a story about integration in this country is it - quite the reverse in fact. Oh, I get it - its a story about Muslims, so lets not bother reading anything, just bring up Enoch Powell.

The law in the school with regard to school uniform. Earlier in the year a muslim girl took it to the courts (I think she won) that their refusal to allow her to wear the hijab was an infringement of her human rights.
I'm the first to admit that the poll thet was conducted could hardly be described as scientific (it did'nt state how many participated either) the main thrust of my response that I was trying to get across is that the vociferous activists who talk about a war on Islam are the same people who defend moderate Islam. But in times of controversy are remarkably silent, moderate muslims (and they are the majority) need to stand up and defend their faith (jihad) against the people who perjure their God.
If they don't then they will lose their faith to the radicalists.

I know you're not interested in a reasoned debate but this is what The Muslim Council of Britain said,
"The Muslim Council of Britain is appalled at the decision of the Sudanese authorities to charge the British schoolteacher, Gillian Gibbons, for allegedly 'insulting religion'.
'This is a disgraceful decision and defies common sense. There was clearly no intention on the part of the teacher to deliberately insult the Islamic faith.
The children in Ms Gibbons' class and their parents have all testified as to her innocence in this matter.
We call upon the Sudanese President, Umar al-Bashir, to intervene in this case without delay to ensure that Ms Gibbons is freed from this quite shameful ordeal,'
said Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Britain. "

The strange fact about all this , from what I heard on the TV, is that sharia law only applies to Muslims and this lady isn't one, so she shouldn't be punished according to their law. If I were her, as soon as I was released, after whatever penalty, I would get on a plane and leave their country, let them educate their own, unfortunate children.
Sorry sp, I just comment on what I see. If it upsets your sensibilities, then hey-ho.
The big mistake with tree-huggers and multiculturalists is that they think legislation can force me to like people that I DO NOT LIKE.
This is not and can never be a crime.
Gutter Filth ? You cannot make me like you, no amount of legislation will make me agree with you. This is what society needs to recognise.

Talk (sadly) is very cheap, I had'nt heard the statement by them (and appreciate their stance) the trouble for them is that if they don't engage with their own communities and actually help them realise it's up to them to protect their faith, their idea.
The reality (to me) is that Islamic fundamentalism is an old idea, it's facisms new clothes (unter menschen=kaffur and so on).
In the 1970s Britain had a huge problem with racism right minded white people stood up against it (remember "Rock Against Racism"?) when the N.F marched priests, vicars and members from all over the community stood up and said with one voice "not in my name!" that the N.F did not speak for the majority of white people.
The challenge we had the courage to meet then has to be met by moderate muslims today.

To clarify:
The big mistake with tree-huggers and multiculturalists is that they think legislation can force me to like people that I DO NOT LIKE.
That statement idenifies you as a fool.
Normally I entertains the muddled drivel of fools, but you are a fool who waves his idiocy like a banner.
It cannot be ignored or dismissed.
