So, is it one rule for women sex offenders then?
Had this been a bloke, I bet you he'd be inside by now.

I can find countless cases of men who have been jailed, men who haven't been jailed, and some of women who have and women who haven't.
There are less cases of women because the majority of sex offenders is men.

Has anyone got a photograph of this woman?
I think a man would be far more likely to go to jail for this offence.
In general when one reads a story involving female sex offenders it's done in a tongue in cheek "Carry On" teacher vein.
With regard to underage sex involving adults people should face one way on the matter or not at all.

Here is a photo of her:

123everton - the link I posted on this thread reports a man who had sex with a 12 year old girl he had groomed on the internet. Not 'sexual acts' but full intercourse. He didn't go to prison.

Thanks for the picture Ethel.
The other link refers to a case from 4 years ago, if memory serves nobody under the age of 13 (sign of the times) can consent to sex no matter what. So the info is a bit out of date.
I don't know the statitistics but I'd wager a man would be more likely to jailed for a sex offence with a minor than woman. That's the question and the popular perception. I concur.
The main point I was trying make (so I'll reiterate it) is that the nature of the reporting of these incidents is often different, a man abuses an under age child, whereas a woman "seduces" an under age child. Kinky teacher, sexy Miss and so on is the basic tone of many of these stories. I think it's irresponsible and wrong of the editors to do so.
P.S.
I've had some gronks (it's 0145 and you're in the Grafton, curse that demon drink) in my time, if I'd been through her I'd wanna keep quiet about it!! So I would say he could well be psychologically scarred.

my post of the week goes to Booldawg LOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLL.
The law protects 14 year olds from such predatory behaviour. Supposedly they cannot 'give consent', so it is sexual assault. Maybe the law/research knows more than my common sense on this issue.
I feel eminently qualified to speak on this issue, namely I have once been a 14 year old boy. I expect anyone else who has once been one is also qualified. When you are a 14 year old boy, getting it on with an older woman is on your mind A LOT. You have just gone through puberty. Hormones etc are in overdrive. Thank god things calm down a bit after that. I cannot for the life of me understand how anyone can honestly, hand on heart, say that this lad will be traumatized by such an experience.
If it were INCEST, I can imagine how it would be different. I do not know much about how a male acting to a 14 year old girl would have different effects, I suspect the effect would be different. Pregnancy is also an issue, maybe the law has this in mind.
This woman broke the law, and the punishment is there for her. But speaking *scientifically*, I'd be extremely surprised to find out that the vast majority of 14 year old boys didn't spend the rest of their lives looking back on this situation with a smile on their faces. The major defence for the law as it stands is that he was too young to 'give consent'. Oh really. What happens 2 years later when he hits 16? The scales suddenly fall from his eyes and he becomes an in-control consent giving machine? I think not.
And this woman is put on a sex offenders register, and will be given the same level of monitoring as a guy who raped 8 year olds. Hmmmmmm.....

Correction: Looking at the pic, he may be traumatised.
