Personally, I think these people that are capable of such things and are proven to be guilty in every way shape or form, should get the death sentence...like for like, instead of keep wasting tax payers money on looking after them for years!!!
This woman has committed the gravest of crimes.
That she will be released back into 'society' in about 5 years is the fault of the judicial system.
There is no doubt that when she is released there will be vigilanties just itching for the chance to demonstrate their outrage and disgust by attacking her.
If these morons could be trusted to leave her alone, the millions (?) spent on creating a new identity for her could be better spent elsewhere........

I'm sorry to keep needling it, and I will leave it after this as it's going nowhere and not asnwering the original post, but 4get I really don't see how you know for sure that they have children. The hospital that delivered the alleged babies wouldn't know, the police in the area they now live wouldn't know, social services probably don't even know, DWP wouldn't know, MAPPA wouldn't know and yet, somehow you do because you read it in the paper?
while i certainly dont agree that any vigilante groups should go after her and make her pay, i still think that someone capable of such inhumane actions towards a child should be sterilised.
Our laws cover cruelty to animals by banning people from owning a pet so why shouldnt a mother who subjects her child to such evil and sickening acts such as baby P dies from be prevented from doing such a thing again. her other children have been removed for their own safety, its highly unlikely she will ever get custody so why should she get a new identity and the chance to bring further children into the world?
but going back to original question, yes a new ID but not at such a cost perhaps.

Yes, I am saying that no-one has worked it out yet - they are probably mid 20s now, working, possibly with children, a dog and a car, going to the pub on a Friday night and having a night in with a Chinese on a saturday, same as anyone else - why would I suspect my neighbours of something like that? It's not like with Maxine Carr, she looks the same being that she was an adult when she was in the public eye, I would imagine these boys / men now look completely different to the photos in the press and have probably had surgery to ensure that they look different. They undergo counselling to have a completely new life, one which they are not to share with anyone. In all honesty if I had murdered a two year I probably wouldn't tell anyone, be it a girlfriend a best friend or a dog.
There is NO legislation currently in place to compel anyone to have an enforced sterilisation.
And I, for one, would be seriously alarmed if there was.
I believe, in cases like this, she ought to be persuaded to 'voluntarily' undergo sterilisation.
I do not have enough confidence in the powers that be to be in favour of 'compulsory sterilisation'. The opportunities for mis-use of such legislation are deeply worrying.

anyone ever see Heavenly Creatures? About the two schoolgirls who killed the mother of one of them? They were jailed separately, then released under new identities, which remained secret for 30-40 years until the movie was made and interest was revived. It turned out one works on a stud of some sort in the southeast. The other writes muder mysteries, believe it or not. But they've both paid the penalty and got on with their lives, as far as I know without killing anyone else.
So as to why this woman should be allowed to get on with her life after her sentence is served, that's why: because she's done the crime and done the time.

I think late 20's I think. I knew I;d read it somewhere
No publication or vigilante action against Thompson or Venables has occurred. Despite this, Bulger's mother, Denise, told how in 2004 she received an anonymous tip-off that helped her locate Thompson. She said she saw him but was 'paralysed with hatred' and did not communicate with him.
More than five years after their release, stories and rumours continue to circulate about Venables and Thompson. In January 2006, The Sunday Mirror reported that Robert Thompson had fathered a child with a girlfriend unaware of his past.[7] The paper reported that Thompson had taken heroin since his release, and had been accused of shoplifting, but that he now worked "in an office" and earned "a reasonable wage". In March 2006, it was reported in The Sun that Thompson was in a "settled relationship" with a gay male partner who was aware of his conviction, and that he had been living with the man at a "secret address" in North West England for "several months".[8]
But you're right I shouldnt take that as he has children. I was just amazed at the time and remember postign something on here about it.
