Migrant workers, do we realy need them?
Ok bear with me, I tend to agree with the general belief that there are thousands of jobs that need doing and our workshy layabout parisites won't get off the sofa because the money is shite. Ok with me so far? What if we had no migrants what if there was literally no one to do those jobs? What if market forces where unchecked? Would, heaven forbid, employers have to offer more dosh? Would that start to tempt the workshy from in front of their plasmas? Supply and demand, no workers? wages increase, and yes prices too probably. What I'm really asking is: is the belief that we need sqillions of migrant workers to do the jobs our own dole dossers won't, a flawed one, based on the current tendency to kerb market forces in favour of a new protectionism?

I don't know the ins and outs I'm only saying what he told me, and to repeat he wasn't being arsey when he said it he was very matter of fact about it.

Never been unemployed, I get of my a*se and find work in this country (actually I'm not in UK at minute anyway) or anywhere. I will also do any work not just my profression. I am also willing to take big cuts in pay to get that work.
For this I am rewarded under labour by massive taxes to give to scum (ok not all uneployed are scum esp at the mo) who dont want to work. Labour also give me no tax releif on my travel even using public transport. For years I have travelled often in excess of 1000 yes one thousand miles a week.
If you can be bothered it is there. Migrants can be bothered so why cant the scum of this country. the answer cos noo labour make it too easy. Benefits should be related to what you have paid in. Should also be give in tokens so no fags booze and weed.

Daffy...if you add council tax benefit and housing benefit onto it it would be about right.
I was on income support for a while (my Dad was dying) and they put a claim in for council tax benefit. I didn't know this happened as I'd never claimed before. Anyway....got a job and informed income support but then nearly got done for council tax benefit fraud....lol. I was shouting down the phone at them saying I don't get council tax benefits I can bring my bank statements in to prove it.
