Typical of us, apologising even if we are not in the wrong.

The idea that a beauty contest might show anything "at it's very worst" (the apostrophe is aog's) is nonsense. As for "reverse racialism", that must remain forever unexplained.

The phrase “reverse racialism” is an acknowledgement that racism now appears to be a two-way street whe previously it was seen as being decidedly one-way.

birdie, you normally argue very strongly but not in this occasion.
Everyone has been aware that racism is a two-way street.
Phrases like "a general consensus", "the powers that be", "for whatever reason", "the governing classes" are the kind of deliberately vague ramblings you find on the Daily Mail letters page. It's the language of people who can't be bothered to find any evidence to support their views, or suspect it doesn't exist so try to circumvent it. No one genuinely denies that racism is racism if it flows from black to white. It makes you sound paranoid to suggest a liberal conspiracy to keep the issue under wraps, mate.
What I will say is that, as the balance of power has shifted away from white-to-black oppression to a more level playing field, you're might well find more evidence of racism coming the other way. That's no more acceptable than any other form of racism. Bt then, no one is suggesting it is.

I think birdie1971 has explained it very well, much better than I could hope to do.
All that remains to say is judging by some posters who still can't bring themselves to admit that in this case there were obvious racism targeted against this white girl.
I anxiously await for a similar case to arise, with roles reversed, and then read the outcry that will undoubtedly take place.
