He needs to keep off the booze - see his hands shaking?
Absolutely anybody must be given the right to free speech, and Nick Griffen's appearance doesn't change that.

And the protesters outside BBC Television Centre have the same rights - they haven't damaged that argument at all. They have that right to protest against the appearance of Nick Griffen on a publically-funded debate, just as Griffen has the right to appear on one.

There's a channel called BBC iPlayer. You can watch BBC programmes up to a week after they're broadcast, so I'll be watch QT over the weekend.

What did you think of it last night? Was it enlightening?
Lucy,

Incidentally - lose what, exactly???
I think the BBC should be praised to the rafters for inviting Griffin to speak his mind, even if the general consesus is that he shot himself in the foot.
Friendly lot the anti fascists ?

Metropolitan Police arrested five people for public order offences, violent disorder, ABH and assault on a police officer. One person was arrested for being wanted on a warrant.

Three police officers received minor injuries, including one who received a head wound.
if we have freedom of speech, so be it.

he has spoken and I don't think he has won anyone over who didn't already support him.

and those who didn't support him probably had their worst fears confirmed.
Lucy,

That sp character has really got under your skin hasn't he? It's funny. :-)
why would anyone ignore the negative? Do you do that with other politicians? If so, how do you get a balanced view?

I know!

Weird innit.

I'm going to sneakily have QT running on my iPhone at work. I hate being behind everyone else on this!
Jack Straw made himself look an idiot several times last night. How many times did he avoid answering the question.... Is it labours policies on immigration that have lead to the BNPs rise in popularity? He was stuttering and jibbering and came out with a load of irrelevant crap!! Nick Griffin wasnt able to say much at all with out being interupted. The whole thing was just a set up to make the BNP look even worse. The audience were mostly either foreign, of foreign decent, muslim, jewish or gay. all were so obviousley Labour, Conservative or liberal democrat voters........ there was just one guy who spoke supporting the BNP and that was a scummy looking bloke with 5 days growth, spoke like a thicko, and looked like he was off the set of "Shameless". Now I wonder if he was a plant to make it look like that is the sort of person that votes BNP. The BNP is gaining ground because this, and previous governments havent listened to the people. And the next government willmake the same mistake, and so it will go on until it is far to late............. If it isnt all ready!!!!
