Why can't she settle this by taking a lie detector test. And why does Hilary Clinton have to be involved? Nothing to do with her.

I am sorry but I presume you have np experience of the law/courts in Italy.
I do, and like much else it Italy anything can be achieved by money.
However, only one thing is above money at that is "face" as Meridianman says.
I have already received information from a friend who lives in Perugia indicating that the Italian Government wishes to make an example of all three of these " murderers".
So I wouldn't hold out too much hope of an early release for any of them.

Will you be keeping this up right up until the conclusion of her appeal, JJ ?
Because it'll be terribly boring for regular posters, if that is the case..............
The Italian justice system has found her guilty (for now); whether or not it sees fit to revise this position will be entirely up to them (and a bit of badgering by H.C., probably) and there is nothing that anyone on Ab can do to change the outcome...........
Like I say, can you not find another 'miscarriage' of justice to exercise your mind............?

Oh, sorry, Ankou ... did I start this thread ?
I'll just take a look at the top.
Oh ... it wasn't me.
Although, in the Italian Police version ... it probably was me.
Do you think smurfchops posted this thread to start a debate ?
Or so that we could all glue a carrot on Amanda's nose and call her a witch ?

If you are "not interested enough to argue the point"
... why are you still posting on this thread?
jack ...
Will I keep this up until the Appeal is over?
Yes ... of course. Why would I not?
At what stage should I give up on a cause in which I believe?
When it becomes unpopular?
When it becomes unfashionable?
No. The answer is ... I will never give up on Amanda Knox.
Not until she is free, and all the corrupt Police officers who fabricated evidence against her are behind bars.

Because there was not one scrap of evidence adduced at Trial upon which either Amanda or Raffaele could have been properly convicted.
A UK Judge might have stopped the Trial after the Prosecution case and instructed the Jury to return a verdict od No Case to Answer.
If the Police believed they had the right people, they would not need to have fabricated key evidence and, at Trial, admit to having made it up.

Well, that's something for me to look forwards to, then................:o(
I trust you are as enthusiastic in placing your thoughts and opinions where they may benefit Amanda Knox, convicted murderess, as you are on placing them on a UK-based website which, apart from possibly being visited by the British relatives of Meredith Kercher, probably serves no other purpose than to irritate many other contributors ?

Am I missing the point here?
"Stick to answering the question" ?
The question is ... did she or didn't she?
I am explaining why she "didn't"
So, erm ... am I missing something?
Or did smurfchops not want both sides of the debate.
Would you be happier if we all just agreed with each other, please_sir ?
Mmm, my ... that WOULD be an interesting thread.
Okay, okay ... lets do it your way ...
I've changed my mind. Amanda is guilty.
So ... does that make it better for you ?

A key element of the Police case was that Amanda and Rafaelle had bought unusual amounts of bleach and cleaning fluid to try to cover their tracks.
They gave a Press conference stating that they had receipts for huge quantities of cleaning fluid, and a witness who would confirm that it was Amanda who had bought it.
At Trial, the Prosecution had to admit that ...
... there were no receipts - there never had been
... there was no witness
there had been no big clean up.
The whole "big clean up" story had been fabricated by the Police to get the Press on their side.
