Aww, poor mite. My heart bleeds for him....................Not!

If only it were 'real napalm.

Hope springs eternal.

Why is it that only proper 'scrotes' tend to mete out 'proper' justice in prisons?

Thoughts?

/// women take a 'nastier perspective' on evil people who harm kids I'm afraid ///

I do hope that is only talking for yourself, and not for the rest of the female sex?

Because I hate to think that the majority of women think, and would act the same.

After all we now have women in positions of power, and we can't have them capable of un-rational deeds.
it's not a matter of revenge.
Let the punishment fit the crime - an eye for an eye.

If scum like this bloke knew that they would have the same done to them - maybe there's a chance they wouldn't do those awful things in the first place.

I honestly feel that anyone who has tortured others: those poor french students; baby P; the two little boys and countless other children who have been left to starve, should have the exact same done to them.

What's wrong with that??
'Makes perfect sense to me.
crisgal, no sane person in cold blood could torture anybody in that way. The sound of breaking bones and the look of fear in the eyes would repulse them.
You are giving these monsters a degree of reasoning and logic that they probably don't possess. There are many monsters on death row in the US who weren't put off from committing their crimes.
i understand that hc, and i don't suppose I really mean do the exact same to them, but why can't they be made to know that fear and feel some of that pain?
It's not always violent either. That poor little girl, for example, who was left without clothing in the bathroom for nights on end - if the perpetrators were left, without contact, or knowledge of when it would end, would have more chance of empathy and understanding, surely?
I doubt they are capable of empathy and understanding.
It is no excuse but many of these offenders know no better, having suffered similar in their own childhoods. I would expect that to put victims off harming another person for life, but it doesn't seem to work that way.
Some people are simply bad, and cannot relate to others properly. They might enjoy suffering themselves, in some cases.
This sort of thing and the response to it is inevitable as long as we live in a society which favours the rights of the criminals over that of the victims.

AOG - On one of your own threads, you spurt fury at a politician crying over his baby girl who died, yet have the audacity to post those comments below! I can't make you out sometimes!

"I have to agree with VHG and others.

While we are all sickened by what this evil individual has done, it amazes me to what depths of mob rule some others are prepared to go to, to seek revenge".
And yes, the b*stard should have been hung, along with anyone else who helped torture this poor innocent little boy.

There, pick the bones out of that!
good for you there smudge
what bloody 'rights' did this child have
NONE !!!
Thanks Bobbi - I do get tired of people assuming that it's 'mob rule' to want to see justice done.

There is no room on earth for people like this evil murderer!

But, never mind, pat, pat, it must have been something to do with his poor upbringing, gggrrr!

Some interesting answers and thoughts. It's obvious that blood lust does take over in such an emotional and distressing case.

I agree in principle with the punishment fitting the crime, so for me, real napalm would have been an option, yet the Criminal Justice System unfortunately doesn't stretch to such draconian extremes, however I could sink to the level of a bullet through the back of the head and being left to drop neatly into a shallow ditch would just about cover it.

And before anyone asks, yes, I could carry that sentence out without a flicker of emotion. Better that than languishing at massive expense to the taxpayer.

As for the one poster who DOESN'T think prison is comparable to a holiday camp, you need to wake up and smell what you're shovelling!
The 'revenge' of prisoners on child abusers, the inevitable flood of bile and vitriol that follows has been a regular feature of the AB since Day One, and VHG, AOG and I have always sung with the same hymn sheet.

These outpourings of righteous anger are absolutely understandable, but do nothing to further the cause of justice in our society. Justice is given under a jury system, which is by no means infallible, but still the best that we have.

The notions of 'like for like' torture have no room in a civilised soceity, and indulgence of them would lead to a 'survival of the fittest' culture which would see us all doomed - including the 'I could do it ...' brigade because I seriously doubt that you possess the coldness and psychosis needed to act on your words.

Justice may be flawed, but our laws make us civilsed, and that is what we must trust.

BTW - anyone who thinks prison is 'easy' or a 'holiday camp' - think cartefully when you pop out of your house tomorrow - a freedom we take utterly for granted, and its removal is the real punishment. Think about it.

At the risk of sounding all warrior-like, with my background I'd manage in this situation, believe me.
re your background - which do you have more personal experience of, prisons or holiday camps?

Just to clarify, as part of the 'I could do it' brigade I meant I could drill him through the back of the head with a 9mm pistol.
No matter how harsh the prison regime is these bastards will commit crimes that sicken us all, just shoot them and get it over with so they cant hurt anyone else
like that Barry George chap?
