Aww, poor mite. My heart bleeds for him....................Not!

If only it were 'real napalm.

Hope springs eternal.

Why is it that only proper 'scrotes' tend to mete out 'proper' justice in prisons?

Thoughts?

I've not been to prison, but I HAVE been to a holiday camp (Butlins Bognor Regis about eight years ago).

Whilst it's true that some cells in some prisons have tellies and games consoles, I am sure that prisons cannon eat when they want, get hugely drunk or see Bucks Fizz perform live on Saturday night as we did in Butlins.

Furthermore, on Monday morning, I'm sure they're not allowed to leave prison with the mother of all hangovers and the feeling of shame at the memory of dancing to 'Making Your Mind Up'.
Here's how these threads work.

Someone mentions a horrific crime and people literally compete to show how upstanding and moral they are. They think that by being the most appalled at the crime and reacting most violently to it, they will stand out as righteous and honourable and well-intentioned.

So it becomes a willy-waving contest as to who hates the evil-doer most - like Monty Python's four Yorkshire men.

- "I'd beat this scum up."
- "Yeah? Well I'd cripple him for life."
- "That's nothing, I'd torture him for a week."
- "I'd stab him in the throat".
- "I'd murder him and then cut him up into little pieces and smear myself in his entrails."

The thinking behind it is so transparent, it's laughable.
For heavens sake, let's move away from holiday camps and focus on the thread, this creature should not be afforded any sympathetic ear at all, he killed a defenseless baby, there is no room in my world for this and I would gladly pull the trigger !
See?
and your point is ???
Would you feel the same if it were your son/grandson?
what would your gut reaction be?
oh my golly, you mean prisoners are allowed toilets? And food? And not only that , people try to teach them trades and encourage them to stay in touch with their families, so they won't turn back to crime when they leave? Outrageous!

And in Butlins, of course, you're also strip searched? And put in segregation cells and watched for suicide attempts?

I said I had no experience of either; I just wanted to hear about yours, since you were the one making the claim. But it appears you don't have any. So I'll believe wizard's genuine experience over your fevered imagination.
Maybe this sites "Baying mob's" torturous and violent skills internet warrior skills could be better used on the frontline of irag or afganistan?
I'd pull the trigger and then I'd forecfeed him grenades and watch and laugh as his tummy explodes.

And anyone who'd do any less is SOFT ON CRIME.

Not like me though. I'm tough. Yeah. Woo.
grenades????
I asked you what would you do quinlad?
y'know, grandson/son aged two years???
As I read the story of the weekend I couldnt help but think "hah, good!" when I read he'd been attacked, however as for doing any attacks on him personally, no, I couldn't do it.

It's not in my nature to attack, maim and injure anything, let alone another person. So I'm afriad I can't join in the general "ya, I'd have done this this and this to him too"

Would I feel this way if it was a child/grandson etc of mine? I don't know, and hopefully I'll never have to find out.
With you on this BOO. All this talk about pulling triggers, etc - we have had so many threads like this. I wonder if all these people would rather live in a country where this happens on a regular basis!

I actually have been into prisons - horrible places - to compare to holiday camps is absolutely ludicrous!!
well, I'd hire one of those Japanese chefs, you know, one of those ones who slice up puffer fish so thinly that the slices are transparent, then I'd...

No, hang on, I'd buy hundreds of AAA batteries and put them in a grinder and squeeze all the acid out and...

Wait, perhaps I'd go to the Pentagon, and I'd steal a WMD and I'd...
that doesn't make me a wicked person when I say I would kill someone who had done the same to my grandson, maybe I am figuratively speaking and I never would wish to know whether or not I would, but my instincts tell me I would feel like it

jno your'e bringing sarkiness into a general debate !
What would I do?

I'd probably log onto an internet forum and trumpet my vengeful views as loudly as I could to make a big show of how strongly I deplore violence against children. And then once I'd finished all the meat-headed posturing, I'd probably have a cup of tea and sit down.
this I take it, after it happened to you?
I do not believe you !
jno

Actually, I was indeed strip searched in Butlins.

However, it was completely voluntary.
Think we all deplore child violence and murder (least I hope we do!), however I do happen to think all these people who are so quick to say what they'd to the murderer are doing so in an attempt to say their disgust is somehow greater than anyone elses. Quite why they feel the need to do this is beyond me.

I truly hope that 99% of these people really wouldn't exact these kind of revenges if given the opportunity, if they would then I'm even more scared of my fellow man than I was before.
not me I hope BOO...lol
I am a gentle soul, passionate about my family, but non the less gentle

Vengeance is a perfectly understandable human emotion. Fortunately, we don't run society on that basis. Giving into base instinct is pathetic.

But then, I'm not really suggesting people would exact violent revenge on criminals. They're just using threads like this as a look-at-me exercise, so that people will think they're dead against child abuse (or whatever that day's crime is).

It's quite clearly just tough guy one-upmanship to make them sound like they have strong moral values.
