Anyone else noticed this phenomena?

Or is it a fact. that mostly the disabled bays are taken up by 4 X 4s or Blue Badge relatives too idle to walk, (or ????? I won't go further, in case I am accused of being racist), with no spaces left for those who can't walk?

Correction: The mail claim 1.4% are disabled. Not true, that should be 16%.
lardhelmet has hit the nail right on the head!! Couldn't have put it better my self.
Well thank you Ever - most kind
There should be a 'Blue Geezer Badge; for parking.
how do you know they are family members and not the BB holder??

it seems the symbol chosen to illustrate the blue badge is misleading to many people

it implies that the user must have a wheelchair, stick, or visible walking problem...this is not the case

many people have head injuries, breathing difficulties, heart problems - all amnner of illnesses that mean they cannot walk far or carry heavy shopping etc

it is time all the ignorant people who get uppity at drivers who can walk learnt the correct terms for issuing the badge

also i think its time the government redesigned the badge somehow to make that clear - even if it just inlcuded a list is applicable ailments...
I take people to hospital on a voluntary basis, it really annoys me when the passenger/patient tells me that their blue badge is in their son or daughters car, I then have to park illegally until I have off-loaded them into the hospital and then park up,only to have to take a chance again when I collect them because they can't walk to the car park. blue badge holders should keep their badge in their possession. at all times..
