Seeing that he has not been found guilty yet of the charges against him, I thought it unfair to comment on these.

What I would wish to comment on, is the fact that he entered and won the Mr Gay UK title.

Why as a serving police officer was he was allowed to enter such a contest, has to be questioned, especially when it was reported, he appeared in a police-style outfit, including a stab-proof vest.

He said "I thought telling people I was gay would mean no one would want to know me, but at the Mr Gay UK final I had more people supporting me than I’ve ever had in my life".

Er, could that be that all those at the Mr Gay final, were also gay?

/// Earlier he was reported to have said his main reason for entering the contest was to “change the public perception of the stereotypical gay man”.///

Now how did he expect their perception would change?

Gosh...............was it a veiled insult ?!? Well, I never !! You and your very subtle digs, eh ?!? No wonder I missed it...........

Like I said, it's a very narrow and fragile notion of manliness if even I manage to satisfy your parameters................
"Krom......I think you'll find that your average man is prevented by political over correctness from giving his true views "

Gosh, how very un-manly of them.
If the cap fits............
What will you be providing as *guarantee* for your earlier statement..............even a link to a recent study would suffice ?
'Real men' are intimidated to silence by pinko fairies, then?
Sorry no recent study available

Political over correctness meant that it could not take place
I 'm not suggesting that I am in any way *manly* (as your description) I am merely agreeing that I satisfy 3 out of your 4 criteria 'for' manliness............the fault lies with your poor parameters, not me.

" 'Real men' are intimidated to silence by pinko fairies, then?"

Interpreter needed here methinks!
/// a very high majority would be repulsed by the thought of 2 men together ///

Yes I am.
But then I'm also repulsed by the idea of two obese people together.
Or two old people.

Fundamentally though, it's none of my business; live and let live.

Some of the trolls talking here about being 'real men' are a joke. Methinks they are a bit too bothered by all this; perhaps they have little urges of their own that frighten them.
.
JTH, you denying your manliness?

Must be your OH then
"JTH, you denying your manliness?"

I reckon *she* might be, yes!
She's not manly !!
Talking about gay folk obviously brings out your 'inner-bitch', joeluke...........
I know that I am shattering all your illusions here, but Mrs JtH is not a crop-haired, dungaree-wearing, DM-booted dyke and nor am I.
We look like two regular (if there be such a thing) mumsy-type, approaching middle-age women..........

I suppose you prefer your lesbains to be easily identifiable ? Either in stilettoes and suspenders, or tweeds and monocles ? It'll take some of the 'thinking' away for you.......

Firstly I ain't a 'troll'

Secondly I've heard the old 'those who protest too much must have gay urged themselves' chestnut

I have strong views against paedophiles (i.e. I think they should hang) but I can assure you I have no paedo urges

Guess that makes your flimsy 'point' pretty invalid huh?
Real Men have the nouse to click on an avatar and see someone's gender!!!
Joe if you don't know the difference between gay and paedo it's not my point that's flimsy it's your IQ.
Hehe Jack....you'e great with words :-)

I can confirm what she says. Jack, the Jack I know, dresses pretty much the same as I do.....
^ "Real Men have the nouse to click on an avatar and see someone's gender!!!"

but I DO know that JTH is female

Looks like my comments went straight over your head!
JTH, I prefer mine to be hot and sexy

Sounds like that rules you out babe! LOL
And I'm telling you Joe.....Jack, or her partner are not manly...
