A nun's wimple doesn't cover the face, so there's no comparison, and it certainly isn't one rule for one and a different one for others. I doubt very much we'd have heard a hint of a complaint from anyone here had a court required a person to remove a crash helmet or a balaclava before the court - and there's no doubt had someone turned up in such garb it would have happened.

Incidentally, her religion does not require her to cover her face.

For the same reason we do not ask you to prove where the laws says a veil cannot be worn. We already know the there is no instruction in the Koran, just as we know your assertion that there is a law forbidding her to wear a veil is utter claptrap.

It's not in the Koran, there is nothing in the Koran about covering your face, only dressing modestly. The place where you will find reference to Mohammed's wife covering her face in public is in Hadith, the sayings and actions of the prophet and his family, which is not part of the Koran.

So what is your point Gromit. The woman is not required to wear a veil. In a court of law one should abide by the Magistrates rulings. Why do these people think they are above everyone else?
