Younger son's birfday was on Sunday (17!!!) so that was a lively day and lovely too :D

my dad and his brother were avid cricket-watchers. I reckon that chromosome didn't arrive in my make up. When I was younger watching paint dry was more fun....

Cricket can be interesting. But it's not everyone's idea of fun! I like watching it.

They do have some lovely terms tho, Silly-mid-on and Silly-mid-off, and I don't particularly want to know what an Innings is/are?

One of my brothers tried to explain all sorts of cricket things to me but I fell asleep after he told me an over was 6 balls. :D

I did get quite excited once wbm, there was a match (30 years ago maybe?) and one team needed something like 10 runs to win and there was only 4 balls left. I'm sorry to say that was the one and only time though.
