She claims to be able to turn gay men straight via counselling, and agrees that homosexuality as "a mental illness, an addiction and antireligious phenomenon”.

However...if a gay man or woman is genuinely unhappy being gay and wants to seek counselling for a 'cure', shouldn't they have the option?

Or is this reinforcing the idea that homosexuality is a mental illness and that all people are really heterosexual underneath?

<<<<But not all relationships are based on the urge or ability to procreate.<<<

Tom Robinson the singer said he was homosexual at one time ,then later said he was straight. Also there was a woman who claimed she was lesbian ended up falling in love with a guy ,getting married and having family. They probaly went through a bi sexual time
-- answer removed --
redhand, that would make them bi-sexual, not homosexual
true, but at the time he said he was homosexual and she said she was a lesbian. So was it a phase they went through.
Maybe they fall in love with the person...
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh dearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Having baled out some three hours ago with a final plea for some "grown up answers", I return to find that, sadly, I didn't get them.

Instead, the kindergarten has been running amok with not only their personal attacks on my request for persuasive argument and reasoning on the very vexed subject of why so many find homosexual acts "natural", but also we have some posters treating the subject with flippancy and disdain.

Personal attacks on me cut no ice, "sticks and stones.." etc, but it ill behoves such posters for their narrowminded and dismissive comments which, instead of addressing my request in an adult fashion, they choose to indulge in childish banter which really speaks volumes for their own maturity and objectivity.

They're more to be pitied than scorned.
What sort of evidence will satisfy you, ETY ?

You do not appear minded to understand any provided to you so far..........
We got bird flu by making contact with birds.

It is thought we got aids from making contact with chimps. They had the disease before humans. Don't ask me what contact they had?
Unbelievable....
Don't just take my word for it:

///Scientists trace AIDS origin to wild chimps
Gene tests match virus in primates in Cameroon to first known human case///
Yup, ummmm...........that pretty much lost me, too ?

Rapist apes or raping apes or, having consensual straight or gay sex with male/female apes...........?

Another well-thought out contribution.....
Haha...good point Jack.
Some people are in denial and cannot believe anything that is put before them:

I will vote for Zeuhl
And, again, what on earth has that got to do with OP ?

The supposed interchangability between the words gay and AIDS has long since been shown to be false.
