I see that the gay couple who were refused a double room in a B&B have won their case and been awarded £1800 damages. I'm not sure of the background facts, so can't really comment, but the hoteliers were found to have acted unlawfully. Does anyone know which law they actually broke and what the damaged were in respect of?
@Booldawg: Okay I've taken a little bit of licence - “You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard.” Leviticus 19:27. So, no "round" haircuts. Feel free not to count that one if you wish! Regardless of Old or New Testament, the fact is those who like to quote the Bible to 'back up' their beliefs are extremely selective about which bits they choose to do so. In my view, rather too conveniently supporting their prejudices. (sp1814, thanks).
