This follows on from an earlier question set by me.

Did any of you watch this on TV last night?

If so what are your comments?

Should these establishments for teaching hatred and violence now be closed down, and the teachers taken to court?

Sorry about that, I am not used to these typo abbreviations.
bazwillrun - faith should have no place in the decision making of education, and many other areas, whether it is Christianity, Judiaism, Islam or whatever.

As for the Muslim hoardes being a worse threat to this country than Hitler Ahahahahahahahaha. If you are so unhappy, why don't you move!

They can't wait to get rid of us, it seems.
"They" - oh are you refering to me. A while middle class, middle aged, christian (well if I practiced any religion), woman.

Or me as in someone who talks sense in the face of a load of racist ***!

/// it is not just people coming to the UK who do not necessarily integrate and adapt - it is also people from the UK who move to other countries - not all, but some.///

You cannot create parallels with the two.

Part of the problem we have in this country is that our migrants do not wish to integrate.

If those other countries have the same problem with us, then that is their problem.
Housemouse is absolutely right - and it is no wonder when we foreigners get nicknames etc - like gweilo/gweipor in the Far East (China). (Brits/Americans). We never make any serious attempt to learn the language or even understand the history, customs and soio-religio matters - if we did, we would have, perhaps, some better understanding and acceptance of immigrant groups. I am not condoning their own self- 'ghettoism' but we don't half encourage it.

Even in Brussels it goes on, driven by the amount of money expats get, especially in the EEC and Nato where there are genrous perks like tax free cars and booze. At the time, I was one of a small minority that worked in French and Flemish (what Scottish is to English is what Flemish is to Dutch) and also went to scoialise/dine in Belgian houses. In the Neths, we chose to live outside the expat ghettos - in our village there was only one other Brit and she was married to a Dutchman (and we got more space for our money)......
"it is not just people coming to the UK who do not necessarily integrate and adapt - it is also people from the UK who move to other countries - not all, but some. "

yes I agree, but we are not talking about other countries, its England I am worried about, let whoever worry about their own country, if they think brits arent doing enought to integrate then its up to them to do something about it
sorry AOG but for some reason my browser didnt update correctly , hence the cross post
"faith should have no place in the decision making of education, and many other areas, whether it is Christianity, Judiaism, Islam or whatever."
but until recently with all the muslims flooding us we never had a problem with the few faith schools we did have.
"Or me as in someone who talks sense in the face of a load of racist ***! "

Yaaaawn, ZZzzzz.... as usual the do-gooder lefties who are more than happy to see this country ruined trawl out the "R" word

we are all entitled to our opinions and when i want yours I'll give them to you !

Same old word calling against anyone who happens to show concern at the rapid growth of Islam in our country.

You say "christian (well if I practiced any religion"

Well with your apathetic laid back attitude, you soon will have a religion and that will be Islam (no other choice offered)

And being a woman, well what can be said? everyone knows Islam's attitude towards women.

Wait a while and you'll soon realise who has been talking sense.
Lol at old gits last post.

Yup, I look forward to our Islamic overlords! And as far as I am concerned you and your attitude worry me much, much more and are more a threat to my security than the thought of Sharia Law and how Islam treats women.

However let's not let masive generalisations get in the way of your happily spluttering red faced arguments. Though be careful you don't have a coronary. Those pesky Muslims may be using all our hospital beds. Or worse, you may have to see a Muslim doctor!
The Dispatches programme last night showed so many distasteful aspects of the teachings in these "respected" Madrassas, where Jews, Hindus and Christians were all maligned, and I was shocked. Please read this from the programme's presenter:http://www.channel4.com/programmes/

I, too, have lived the ex-pat life, in the Far East for many years all without my children being subjected to hateful preaching or any one that I knew being disrespectful to our host country, it's inhabitants and all the different peoples we came in contact with. I hate seeing British ex-pats being pushed forward as just as bad as the OP's communities under discussion, some of us can behave when living abroad. It's the way I live now.
Firstly, anyone who missed the programme can see it by visiting the Channel 4 website. It was a Dispatches report entitled "Lessons in Hate and Violence".

I watched it and came to the conclusion that the schools featured were nothing better than the Muslim equivalents to the BNP and/or EDL, such was the level of hate filled indoctrination coming from some of the so called teachers.

They basically preached hatred and intolerance not only towards the Jews, to be expected from them, but also towards Christianity, and used the highly derogatory word "Kaffar" to refer to anyone outside of the Islamic faith.

I objected to the assault on the kids who were seemingly subjected to it on the basis that they were having difficulty learning and reciting their Koran/Quran?

At least when I went to school and we got the strap it was fully justified because we'd been behaving like brattish yobs, not for being unable to recite our "times tables"!

And, yes, it did me no harm whatsoever, it did not turn me into a serial killing, wife beating paedophile. I have no criminal record and wear my halo with great pride, thank you very much.

So, over to you now, you bunch of goody two shoes brigades and yoghurt knitting wishy washies!
Yes AOG that mosque is in my town! Been happening for years! Anne Cryer the MP is the only one who will stand up about it!!

"Part of the problem we have in this country is that our migrants do not wish to integrate"

I think that's a rather sweeping generalisation.

Wouldn't it be fairer to say that there is a" hardcore of immigrants, and even Brits from immigrant backgrounds who do not wish to assimilate/integrate".

To characterise all immigrants as non-integrators when there's ample evidence to the contrary is only painting part of the picture.

"And its not just the extremists we need to worry about because they are in the open and court publicity and are tracked where possible by the intelligence agencies, its the so called moderates, the mass of them who sit in the background patienty biding their time."

May I politely suggest that you might be overplaying the situation somewhat.

I would be very surprised if the vast majority of the Muslim community were part of some kind if silent conspiracy - and sorry to bring this up as a comparison (again), but it all sounds remarkably like something I learned in my history lessons in school...stuff that was said in German in the 30s...about another religious minority.

It sounds EXACTLY the same as it goes.
