lady-janine, my son, his wife and my baby granddaughter live in Tokyo. I have been on Skype with him since 8.30am and they are fine. The phone networks were overloaded for a time and fortunately my son cycled home from work. I watched the earthquake and tsunami on the news this morning as it unfolded. It was truly horrifying, the power of nature is awesome. Japan are prepared for earthquakes, their buildings are constructed to take the strain of less powerful ones but this one was much stronger, setting off the tsunami. I pray there was no-one in those boats and vehicles as they floated away.
