The last day of Ramadan is 30 August.
Eid ul-Fitr is 31 August.

It was not decided until late last night, up until then it could have been today or tomorrow. The official announcement stated that it is today.

Well I went into one of my local arabic shops on Monday and they didn't seem to know either. They said they'd be closed for Eid on either Tuesday or Wednesday. I thought it seemed odd that it could be one day or another.
