Look At That Billy Go!
There was two guys hiking along the Appellation trail, when they stumbled across an old abandoned min shaft, which went vertically, deep into the ground.
Curious about how deep it might be, the pair threw a pebble into the shaft, then waited for the splash.
Nothing was heard, so one of the men said, "we need a bigger rock"
A larger rock was found and they waited and waited but still, they didn't hear it hit the bottom of the shaft.
Curiosity, now running wild, they tried an even bigger (boulder this time) but still now sound was to be heard.
I just don't get it, said one of them, so they both took a look round and found an old railway sleeper, which they managed to drag to the hole, between them, dropped it in and waited.
This time they had a result but it wasn't what the expected, all of a sudden a full grown billy goat came charging through the bushes and jumped straight down the hole, which they both watched with astonishment.
As the guys was leaving to continue their hike, they met another guy who asked them if they had seen his goat, your not gonna believe this, the hikers said but we've just seen your goat jump down that old mine shaft!.
No that can't have been mine he said, "I left my goat, some ways off over yonder tied to an old railway sleeper".
