plasters, dressings, germolene.
Plasters, eye wash, a nurse.
Having been in charge of first aid in a secondary school, I know that the absence of things like sticking plasters is not particularly important, whereas the absence of large dressings can be! So I'd want one large wound dressing, one large melolin dressing and a triangular bandage.

Oh, hang on a minute, it's meant to be MY first aid box. In which case I'll have a bottle of single malt whisky, a bottle of St Emilion Grand Cru 2000 and something for dealing with hangovers ;-)
a bottle of brandy and 2 other bottles of brandy
Germolene, Sara3?

Antiseptic creams are banned from first aid boxes in schools, offices, factories and other workplaces because their use inhibits the body's repair process. No first aider would ever use Germolene!
Three pictures of Peter Beardsley... a reminder that no matter how ill I might be it can always be so much worse...
I see that Bibblebub is thinking along the same lines as me!
;-)
Savlon, After-bite and Gaviscon
I've just looked what I have got...

Dressing strip
Savalon (x2)
Nurofen
Benylin
Benadryl
Piriton
a light bulb (not sure how that got in there!)

I probably should stock up.
That's not first aid, Snags.
It's masochism!
;-)
Paracetamol, some plain baby wipes and a bandage.

chris. the obligatory triangle bandage, for all those dislocated scapula !!!!!!!!!!!
The great thing about a triangular bandage, Anne, is that you can also use it as a wound dressing for major bleeding (as I've done when dealing with a severed artery) or as a pad for other purposes, or even rip it up for extra bandages. I chose it for its flexibility, rather than solely for its intended purpose.
if I want germolene, I'll have germolene.
plasters
antihistamine
rehydration sachets

though I would probably buy a bigger first aid box if I was only limited to 3 items
. . and I'll have my whisky, Sara3!
Cotton wool, TCP and lots of different sizes in plasters.
With the predicament I am in today, I'm going to say one large dressing and two packets of codeine.

milly, and a reminder to contact gp earlier.. :) are you any better ?
I know. It's just it was over the weekend and I didn't want to bother an on call doctor as I thought it would just go down. No better as yet. No worse either though - :o)
