Which modern phrases annoy you the most. I personally can't stand it when people say "simples" like that meerkat advert a few years back or "end of" when discussing something... I know its petty but what annoys you?

Soz
'Da' instead of 'the'.

Innit.

Can I get
What annoys me, is when people say 'bored of' when the actually mean 'bored with'.
When friends tell you it is time "to move on"
There must be thousands of people "moving on" ------where are they all going?
it's a big ask, it still sounds like it's a big arse, no matter who says it.
non of the above phrases annoys me, I do find repeating the same word constantly and repetitively can be annoying, I remember talking with a woman who used to say "innit" every couple of words and a bloke who used to say "y'know" at the start of every sentence, I don't find these words annoying just the frequency of how many times its said.
Was it yourself who asked that question? [Unless you're Irish and using the colloquialism!]

Haitch. It's aitch. Check your dictionary.

Oh and the correct response to 'Can I get...' is, 'No, you're not allowed behind the shop counter.'

The correct response to 'Here, here' is 'There, there'. :D
it's "hear, hear" not "here, here"
Yes. That was exactly my point.
When people say absolutely when a simple yes would do.
When told "end of", a response "end of what?" really throws people, in the same way that a fellow teacher was told to "p@ss off" and replied "off where?".
"End of " is the verbal or written version of a two finger salute.
People who say "myself" when they should say "I".
I'm really struggling to believe that so many people are so bothered by simple sayings and phrases!!! Madness!!
24/7.
Basically...
Not as troubled as I am about you kissing a dog after he has just licked clean
his bits, Ratters!
and that's what we all need to do, at the end of the day.
"At the end of the day." Drives me mad, at the end of the day.
There are too many to mention, but I think "24/7" and "end of" are particularly annoying. Worst of all is the strange accent a lot of people are using. I hear a lot of the youngsters using it (on the TV), it seems to be mostly used further south. I don't believe it's caught on oop North yet - thank goodness. Could just be a matter of time.
When they say "You know what i mean" after every sentence, , also "You guys"
"I text him" (past tense).
I am aware that 'text' has always been a noun and only became a verb with the invention of the SMS but afaic past tense of "text", logically speaking, should be "texted".
If someone ever says "I text him" to me, I'll always answer "Do you? how often?"
