Which modern phrases annoy you the most. I personally can't stand it when people say "simples" like that meerkat advert a few years back or "end of" when discussing something... I know its petty but what annoys you?

I think "end of" is extremely rude. It cuts you off without giving you a chance of expressing an opinion as if you are of no consequence. Some sayings seem to have no meaning - like Mark's "my bad" and excelsior's "talk to the hand" - they are so stupid. Apologies if you like and use them, just as long as I haven't got to hear them.
That's just how people talk. If I'm asked how I am I usually respond 'I'm sound'
whatever and being called babe, im not a pig.!!!!
"I personally can't stand it..." Why "personally"? If someone said "I can't stand it..." would we think they were talking about someone else?

Of course I am just giving the OP a hard time. My bad. Language evolves, rarely for the better, it seems.
or when someone apologizes and you hear the response "All good" hahah what is all good? Not everything could be "good". There are children dying in Africa you tw*t lol
One that I've NEVER understood is why people refer to themselves and someone else as "... and I", as in "this reminds me of my wife and I", yet they'd never say "you remind me of I in my younger days".
how do you feel about "all right", AristotleZ?
Now you are just showing off again, Mark!!

''Whatever'' (Mr. Cupid knows I hate it so uses it just to wind me up!)

all right doesn't make grammatical sense unless you're saying " we are all right in the head" lol Alright is like a transition I suppose lol. as in "Alright, I suppose I'll go to the store."
Competitions where you win 'free' stuff give me the hump. If the stuff on offer is free, I'll avail of it thanks very much without having to enter the competition.

What they mean to say is you win petrol to the value of £100, or CDs to the value of £50 etc...
I'm off to bed
Missing you already
