"“Perhaps overlooked since yesterday is 875 Catholic churches in France were vandalized in 2018 — 875! In a single week last month, 12 churches were vandalized, including a fire deliberately set at a church also located in Paris.” Dobbs urged."

WOW.. maybe it IS something they should look into?
Maybe someone witnessed the cause and it was accidental or negligent?
Wooden frame, building works!

ummmm

Wooden frame, arsonist.
unless they are in the French Govt, anything anyone says here will be speculation.
My 2 pennorth is that it's Information management - the French hhave been hit particularly hard by terrorism, so they want to make sure no one panics and public order is kept
If it was a deliberate intention to destroy the building would the arsonist really start a fire in the roof? I don't think so.
Why is AOG so quick to publicise obvious conspiracy theories?

No good trying to set fire to masonry it just does not burn.
AOG, check your facts, the construction of the roof was mainly timber.

Not an obvious conspiracy theory Jim, just an opposite view point, to what some would wish us to believe.
There is literally no reason to take this even remotely seriously. It's legitimate to question the motive behind offering up "alternative viewpoints" in such cases as this, which is essentially an open-and-shut case.

Perhaps it is you that should check what you put yourself, didn't you state?

/// If it was a deliberate intention to destroy the building would the arsonist really start a fire in the roof? I don't think so. ///

I was fully aware that the roof was the construction of the roof was mainly timber, that is why it would be the best place to start a fire.

Most of the rest of the building is masonry, that is why they wouldn't choose that to start a fire.
Go and have a lie down old boy.

Really Jim???? Has a full inquiry taken place and has a verdict been announced? If it has I must have missed that, so please accept my apology.
They have said it was “probably” accidental: as no evidence of arson has yet been found.
A more interesting question to me is why would Alex Jones, one of the online world’s nuttiest conspiracy theorists, be beavering away at this? And the answer, at the risk of being accused of being a conspiracy theorist myself, of course, is almost certainly because he wants to keep alive and promote the idea that the “authorities” are trying to cover up “the truth” for fear of unleashing a backlash of righteous anger against the likely culprits.
ISIS, Alex Jones etc: their reactions are as predictable as each other. As are a million other “opinions” now available at the press of a twitter icon.
Actually, the reason an arsonist would choose the roof is the same reason natural causes would: it’s the wooden bit :-)

is an obvious conclusion attracting no supporters on AB

Arson in England - apparently you can smell the accelerant ....

there are questions which wont be answered
why there wasnt a Plan A for fire
why they were so slow to draw water from the Seine - which borders one aside of the cathedral. On the wrong side apparently - altho Notre Dame looked pretty well toasted on both sides to me .....
it could have started from a welding gun
a heater used to dry plaster
an over loaded extension lead
any number of reasons already suspected and reported by the renovators but they are not jumping to any conclusions until fire report is published
conspiracy theorist on AB
wonders never cease
I think I would really prefer Brexit
hey do you think a brexiter vaulted ( geddit?) to the roof of Notre Dame, exclaimed
o liberty what crimes are committed in your name
or - - - good bye cruel world....
or both....
and then torched the place wivva laser torch or something

please exciue this s tupid and inappropriate post ....
