Venga!
4 Answers
I work with my girlfriends dad and he jsut recently got back from Salou in Spain. He said that during the hotel entertainment the entertainers would say "Come on Venga Tom". He asked me what it meant but I didn't know, so I looked it up and the literal translation is "Come". But obviously its not meant in this text, so does anybody knowthe way they mean it? Like for instance the Venga boys? hehe. Thanx!

living in the canaries this 'venga' pronouced "Benga" means "come on" its used as slang and often used before other phrases like "venga, vamos" or "venga ciao" its used to accent what your saying and make it seem more important/cool.
Like many catchy sayings it seems to have lost its original meaning.
It does not mean "Party" but can be used to imply a good time.
