As usual I'm stuck!
I've got a good number of the 'normal' clue answers & can see where about half of the eleven 'replacement' answers go.
But,I've no idea what the 25 letter phrase is or how I'm going to discover it!
Can anyone help me please!

Ripper - you need a few of the answers that require coding (1ac and 25ac would help a lot).
Once you have these just google them and you should get the title of a literary work.
Then write the alphabet underneath the full title and read upwards from each letter of the alphabet for the coded letter that goes in the grid.

I'd still be trying to finish this one if I hadn't remembered a couple of the names Ripper - this kind of code is impossible to crack without the 'crib'.
