Left as upset about headliner beginning to question it (5,4)
anagram of LEFTAS + STAR (headliner) + T(o)?
Anagram of left as around star (headliner)
Anagram of left as and star (headliner)
I'm not sure of the definition bit though
Yes, I had too many Ts. Forget the T(o) bit
I now see the definition of false start

I think UPSET is the anagram indicator, danny- and 'beginning to question' is the definition. I'm not sure whether the clue includes IT.

fortis- it's hard to see where the clue starts and finishes- it's better to put clue on a new line or put it in in speech marks
Agree with the above parsing.Question it seems to be the indicator of the anagram.

Thank you fiction factory et alia it makes some sense now i had not twigged headliner as star however i cannot understand where “qustion” fits in? Again thanks in advance
Upset is the anagram indicator

Beginning to question = questionable beginning = false start
