Good evening members new and old, once more I am left in the lurch - I mean in charge as the Aristo's have toddled off to see some prestingdig... er pestergating er Magic Show.
The Aga has been well used today and arrayed on the long buffet table in the short gallery are amongst other things, a beautiful Roast Gammon joint (do carve as you require), some tasty Tandoori Chicken skewers with a Raita dip. All the usual nibbles and Tailcocks are there also.
This week's guest tipple is 'Magic Wand!' a truly amazing concoction and perfect accompaniment to the Gammon.
For the raffle I have;
2 cards of Kirby grips
6 Playing cards (all jokers)
Half a jar of Branston pickle
A dozen Liquorice teabags.
Hello everyone. Just got back from a birthday party. All Indian food, delicious. I couldn't eat my onion baji so I put it in a doggy bag and brought it for the buffet table.
For the ruffle I have got two safety pins, a crochet hook with the size worn off and a ball of wool which the cat has been playing with.
I would like to congratulate DT on the magnificent poem he wrote. Is that what you call blank verse DT? Some of the words were absolutely wonderful - if only I knew what they meant.
dont worry mamya my hero will look after me i'm sure,i think i heard someone say al fresco is down there,if we got hold of the dinghy we could go for a sail in the sunset
I am full mamya but I will have a Magic Wand please. Wonder what sort of spells it will weave.
Kate, I agree, it is just too awful to be ignored. I suppose his excuse will be he couldn't mention everyone, someone had to be left out. I vote we chuck him in the moat - see how he likes that. Perhaps that will make him remember us in future. Wait until he has had a few more of those Magic Wands and he will be easier to handle.
Today she is just our AB's Kate
She’s no doubt her hubbie’s lover and mate
But there will come a day
When he’s passed away
She’ll be known as Slinky Kate the Great
