Goodness is it that time of the month already! This weekend you will find out who is January Champion in both versions of the game.
In the MM Links Game, there is as yet no clear contender for the title. Several players are bunched together on just 4, 5 or 6 points so any of them could take the honours - even one of the lower scorers could strike lucky.
The Court Jester (kettledrum) will have one last jest with you in Q&P tomorrow morning (intro at 8:45am, game starts at 9:00). Although bonus points in this game only last for 2 minutes from the discovery of each link, you are free to play any time up until 7pm Sunday when I declare the results.
Seekeerz (down under in Oz) manages our sister game of the KM Links based on the GK crosswords in the Saturday/Monday Telegraph. No time-sensitive bonus points in that one so play any time over the weekend with equal chance of points. That too is launched in Q&P tomorrow morning - usually somewhat earlier than the MM version.
That's the plugs over, now for the party in 'The Shrubbery'.
Good evening, all.
At Christmas I was careless enough to say that 2012 has to be better than 2011, and that was (for me) bad enough. Clearly I was wrong!
I finally got home last Saturday, having spent the intervening four weeks either in hospital or seeking R&R with my sons.
So you know what you can do with your bottle, Gen2 (has nobody told you there's a world shortage?). Lets just pull the cork on a decent Chablis - no gin, thanks, Pauline.
Pauline, with so many b. doctors, it's impossible to follow them all!
But now I'm going to leave you to the tender mercies of Gen2 and Sarumite, and take myself off to bed with a good book.
Goodnight - and don't do anything I wouldn't!
No, there's not many car boots at the moment, but a bit too cold for me. I recognise Sarumite straight away, his disguise didn't fool me.
Have got a big glass of Bailey's while talking to you.
