Puff, puff.....

The Club is now Open

Welcome again to all who enter.

Tonight's talk is to be given by a mystery speaker who has promised to show us slides of their holidays in the UK and abroad.
The equipment and chairs have been set up in the big sitting-room upstairs .
Clearly an event not to be missed.

So far for tonight's raffle , I have

5 green bottles
5 eggs (sell by 12th May 2012)
5 spice powder ( half a pack)

Good evening Milady, Butler and all guests, as today has been quite springlike (about tine) the buffet has a light feel to it - all the usual selection of voltra vons and also a platter of mixed meats with a fresh spring salad, lots of home made crusty bread too. Should the evening turn chilly I do have a pan of beef broth on the Aga.

Tonight's tailcock is the Moonkist - a hint of romance and promise in a light sort of manner, very pleasing.

For the Rofl :

6 Doilys (gold)
Box of Cooks matches
4 Candle wicks
and a dozen assorted jam jars (no lids)

So let the fun begin.

Hello, Mamya. How lovely to see you again and such a wonderful spread. We are indeed blessed to have such an accomplished caterer.
A flagon of Moonkist sounds just the job, please.
Good evening m'lady, Matron & guests

For the rofl I can offer -

Collection of beermats
An unlucky horseshoe
A bucket with a hole in it, caused by a horse

I shall begin hiding outerwear & serving tailcocks immediately.
Good evening milady - I believe we may be short handed tonight - it seems that the Minstrel of Mousehole is currently 'banged up' in the castle dungeons (to use the vile argot of the working class).

I can offer 5 green wellies for the woffle ... and some slow gin for the tailcock.
Question Author
Perhaps I shouldn't ask, LiK (welcome, by the way)...but a hole in a bucket caused by a horse ???how did that happen ?
Perhaps it is personal Milady
Question Author
Hello, sunny-dave. Welcome and thank you for the raffle prize...you will have to consult with Mamya about the gin...

DT hasn't been arrested, has he ?
There is no gin in the Moonkist...
Question Author
Hadn't thought of that, Mamya.
LiK...you don't have to answer if you don't want to.
Wouldn't like to embarrass the horse.
A sad tale m'lady, involving a trough of assorted leftover tailcocks and a llama...
Question Author
Cannot see that one having a happy ending right enough...

What is the news on DT, then /
Is he in jug or has he got another date ?
Would prefer a fast gin. [I'll get my coat... ... ...]
I think DT and the field marshal may have had a dispute about handbags ...
Question Author
You'll be lucky, Big Mac. The King will have it well hidden by now. He's a professional.
Good evening all, what is it with gin tonight?? The Moonkist is lovely.
Was not a pretty sight Milady, best left unoded.
Question Author

Do we have a military presence ?
Question Author
The tale of the llama, the horse trough and the bucket ?
or the tale of DT and the field marshal ?
