This is 'Sir Robin of Linksley', back to offer you my second challenge.
Senior Moment?
Fifty years ago you could still find room to anchor a small yacht in the charming little harbour at Tarbert, Loch Fyne, although it was pretty crowded even then. We were cruising in company with a doctor friend and, arriving at our agreed overnight stop, we dropped our sails and nosed our way in under engine - as one does.
Imagine my surprise when my normally careful friend arrived some half an hour later and started a frantic search for swinging space under full sail! He eventually dropped his anchor after several quite near misses and, after giving him time to tidy up the chaos on deck, I rowed across in the dinghy to see what was the matter. No engine, of course.
Like most doctors he was no mechanic, so I started the tedious business of diagnosing the trouble. It soon became clear that the fuel pipe from tank to engine was completely blocked, but with what? It seemed like a thick, fluffy porridge. He was aghast. He would certainly have something to say to the people at the marina where he normally bought his diesel. I must know, he said, what a careful, belt-and-braces sort of a chap he was. Indeed, he went on, he made absolutely sure that every drop of fuel going into his tank was filtered - through several thicknesses of surgical lint!
